You will love this bag. The marine is gorgeous. Trendy ...yet still timeless, and classy.

I own the first run. Pink and khaki. Not sure about the reviews you saw but I get more compliments on this bag than any other bag I own. It is hard to put it back into hiding after rotation. An easy carry. It will mold to you and it goes with everything!

Advice...Keep the zippers centered and zipped. The leather on the flap is so soft and buttery it will sink into the bag. I have a friend who also owns the bag and left the zippers pulled apart all the time and now the leather is changing. I leave the zippers closed and centered and mine is in perfect condition after almost two years. The zippers support the bag.

For those that have the reverse Cannes: can you check if your heat stamp is crooked?
It didn’t bother me but now every time I open the bag that’s the first thing I notice....amongst the glazing issues on the tab. Want to make sure it’s common before requesting a new one.

So this is the final version of the essential trunk? It looks very different from the "stock photo" I got form my SA a long time ago (gold hardware, no silver or grey colors) and it also looks different from the promo that LV put up just a day ago (bottom corners) .

This is pretty messy on LV's part, I wonder how it'll look on the web site in the end.

Yes they made changes to it. The corners have the treated/dyed calfskin like the leather on the duffle bag. Also did the patent leather on the leather strip in front instead of a vachetta. I'm in between abt the the different leather on the corners. I would have also liked if they did the brown strap on top like what they have in the duffle with the L Vuitton inscribed. Hardware changed from gold to silver on the s-lock, chain and d ring which I actually like. This new version of the trunk that I was not too fond of is you cannot remove the chain. Otherwise I like this commercial version, it is a stunning piece.

Been on a six month hiatus from any new purchases, but broke the ban today. I know a lot of folks are not fans of the new wave bags, but I decided to give it a go. I like the size, the leather is yummy and the chunky chain gives it a casual look for day carry. You can also opt to not use the handle with the color logo. I also picked up the purse charm, but am on the fence on whether to keep it.

I actually liked this collection when I saw it....we are bag twins if you bought the mm....I love the key chain you have on it, I may need to add it....I actually had a hard time deciding between the bag and tote but ended up with the bag..I still think about the tote....
