I am definitely one of the people who laughed when seeing preview pics of the screaming head bag, but, I absolutely love that you could buy it, enjoy it, and wear it freely to your office- that is a dream and that is one of the best things about fashion, we can rock what we love! It truly looks stunning in your pics and so special to own a collector’s piece congrats!

Edit: I confused yours with the screaming head bag, I'm so sorry!! No wonder I like yours better. I prefer the fish and potato head too, really loved it on the bucket hat as well but now seeing the screaming face ones in real life settings, I am more drawn to them as well! I fell in love with the whole faces collection when I saw previews! Honestly was a bit iffy about the fish at first bc potato head was my fav but now I love it too so both sides will get equal time facing out!
I’ve been waiting for a collection that plays on monogram and this was just the perfect fit for my taste and style!

Both are Kusama pieces. A bag and rtw item. The issue is that I really wanted a bag from the Kusama collection.

My top choice is the pumpkin bag. The company still hasn’t cancelled that order, so my main CA and I are hopeful. If no pumpkin, the bag I have now would have been my second choice… but it’s so heavy, that I don’t see myself enjoying it while using it.

I’m a little more inclined to keep the rtw, but maybe I’ll opt for a different size, if anything.

I like the CA’s personality, but I think she’s a bit too forward when it comes to sales. Have only worked with her for a month, or so. My main CA isn’t pushy, and actually discourages me from buying, if she thinks it won’t suit my preferences.

I’m not one to think about resale value either, since I consider the secondhand market fickle and volatile.

I also don’t think you should buy something for its potential resale value. I believe in buying things that you really want for your collection and will treasure for years to come. I think you should get something you like and will use, maybe an SLG or scarf.

I have a dilemna:

I have two items that I don’t really want, and are still returnable. One item, I feel pressured by the CA to keep and resell (her words, not mine). The other, I felt pressured to purchase, so I did.

I can afford to keep both, but I don’t really want to, especially when I think about what I would rather get with that amount of money. Plus, it doesn’t sit well with me that I was encouraged to keep and buy.

I guess what I’m looking for is validation from others that it’s ok to return the items, if I am inclined to go that way.

Ma’am, it is your money that you’ve worked hard for. Spend it how you like and on things that will bring you joy with use.

I feel you’re trying to convince yourself with the metal orbs side trunk. Yes, the design is stunning, but if you find the bag unpleasant to use, that’s a big chunk of change for a once in a blue bag. Maybe the Cannes would be another option since you like the artwork? Otherwise, return.

The RTW from Wave 2 I found much more appealing. If you find a fit that works with your sense of style, keep. Otherwise, return. And don’t feel guilty! You can’t be the only client keeping your CA lights on. You don’t want to work with someone who is looking at you as an option to meet their sales goals…

There are sooooo many items to choose from with this collab so there’s certainly at least one item you can purchase without regret.

The only thing that kind of sucks is that the pumpkin bag is so limited, you can’t really do any intel to determine if you’ll truly love it. But hoping whatever you decide has a positive outcome for you.

Do you have a third choice bag? As in, maybe one that doesn’t look as good as your second choice but is more wearable? I ask because maybe this might be a bag you will use (and therefore perhaps like/enjoy) more than your second choice. You could potentially exchange. Then you have a kusama bag and also don’t feel the “guilt” of returning.
Having said that, I think it’s best you don’t hesitate to return an item that you don’t want. The CA will be upset… but they shouldn’t be pressuring you into something you don’t want to begin with. I would be quite hesitant in safeguarding their commission under this dynamic and would buy from a nicer CA.

I am loving everyone’s reveals! There is so much Kusama, and this wave seems like it has something for most that sat out wave 1. My Kusama piece arrived yesterday, I thought I had escaped with my wallet intact, but certain colors are just my happy place. Thank goodness the mono playground bag I ordered didn’t suit so I could return and get this (and it was less $$!)

I was surprised how much fun it was to get all the packaging including a bag. I’m betting a few of you might already know what’s coming, I seem to have a lane or 2 and I stay in them And my curious girl (whose signature color is fuschia/raspberry) had to see why I wasn’t paying attention to her during the photo shoot. I am totally in LVoe with this little bag! Perfect quality and it smells heavenly. And because LV rarely does silver hw, this was even more perfect. The black and fuschia combination is wonderful for me, the NF is gorgeous but couldn’t justify it, and I think a small pop of color and bright is perfect.

So here is my 2nd Felicie - and love the internal pouches too. The poem by Kusama that was posted in another thread (also sorry I can’t remember who posted but thank you) was a nice connection with the artist.

I love the fuchsia and black! I nearly ordered this but decided to go with the pumpkin neverfull instead, a totally different different direction. But really, it's lovely. Especially with the insert!

I think you and I might have been at the same launch event on Friday -at Gansevoort/Meatpacking?

Anyway, when I saw the pumpkin bag in person, I knew that if I were to get my hands on one, I’d want to keep it for forever.

And yup, it’s the metal dot side trunk lol I would opt for the cannes version, if I didn’t already have a cannes in my collection. It’s the perfect metal dot bag, though. Not too heavy, unlike the side trunk and capucines version.

I feel guilty returning, because the CA told me how hard her team worked to source the side trunk for me. I don’t like feeling like I wasted someone’s time, which is why I usually avoid pre-orders and store transfers.

But thank you, and to everyone else, that is telling me it’s ok to return. And that I shouldn’t feel bad if I know the pieces won’t work for me.

Hello I’m so sorry to jump on your thread but I can’t create one as I have a limited profile still?!
I really need some advice/help I purchased a nano speedy in Dec 22 from LV online in the uk, I have never worn the bag as I don’t think it suits me so was looking to sell. I sent my bag to be authenticated by a selling company and they have told me that by bag cannot be authentic as Louis stopped date stamping their bags in March 21! and mine has a date stamp for November 22!
I contacted Louis and they couldn’t answer why this had happened and they just kept repeating that it’s authentic as was purchased from them and I have an invoice to prove it.
My point is that my bag has a default as it has a date stamp that shouldn’t be there so people question its authenticity. They refused to help or explain in anyway. I’m really unhappy and don’t know what to do ??

What bag is it? If you bought it directly from LV it is authentic.
