Beautiful bag, and congratulations on your purchase! But sorry to hear about the zipper. While most of the zippers on my bags have been smooth (LV, or otherwise), I occasionally get a difficult one. The trick I use, which I learned here on tPF, is to run some wax paper over it, then open and close the zipper a few times to distribute the wax in the teeth. It’s easier to use than a crayon and colorless; it won’t leave any residue, either. That has worked like a charm in the past for me! As bags age, I’ve found zippers also sometimes get a bit tough, likely from lots (and lots!) of use, and this same strategy has brought those zippers back to life.My purchase on our recent trip to Paris. This is only my second LV bag and I ended up getting the tourterelle/crème. I'm in love with the design and colour and its so soft View attachment 5762388
We have only been back a few days though and back to work so I haven't had a chance to try the bag out but when I went to try today I'm struggling a little bit with the zipper. Its very hard to open/close and keeps pulling. Its actually impossible without holding the zipper closed with one hand and closing with the other.
I'm actually worried about the zipper pulling and wearing over time.
I was considering bringing the bag back to my local store for them to look at as I wasnt sure I'm happy with how its pulling. Maybe thats just how they are? As I said its only my second bag and my first was a NéoNoé so no zipper.View attachment 5762402
Does anyone else own the petit palais and know if this is just how the zippers are on them?
