Am I wearing my Kelly 35 or is she wearing me?

I'm in the process of cleaning out my closet again and while I stopped collecting Hermes bags a long time ago they are among the few items I never chose to part with. This is due to a combination of reasons like value, emotional attachment since all were bought directly through H, etc. I bought all of my H bags back in the day when bigger bags were the rage so all are on the larger size (B35, K35, Evelyn GM and Lindy 30). I'm trying to figure out if I should downsize my Kelly 35, and likely lose money doing so, to a K32.
I dress down in general and I do think larger Ks seem to give a more casual look and mine is Gold Togo, which I think also reads as casual with the contrast stitching. My favorite bag these days has been my Loewe Puzzle in tan so very similar in color. There's a part of me that think I should keep the K35 because there's more of a size difference between the Puzzle and the K35. The larger K is almost like a tote and would serve a completely different purpose than my small Puzzle. The K32 would be closer in size to the puzzle bag and maybe somewhat redundant (in purpose not looks)?

Attached are some photos of the bag on me. I apologize for the outfits but honestly, I'm often running around dressed how I am in these photos. Thoughts? Am I making it work or should I bite the bullet, sell this one and get a K32?

I’m with everyone! I think you look great with this bag. It is definitely not wearing you, you are rocking it. I think a 35 is always a classic size, and you really look lovely with it. Love your vibe!

What you are saying about the 35 is very interesting to me. My very first Kelly was a 35cm black Fjord retourne with gold hardware. I bought it very spur of the momemt and wasn't thinking about size. I was happy to be offered a Kelly, so I bought it. I subsequently followed up with 28cm sellier Kellys and felt for a long time that I had made a mistake with the 35. I did debate about selling it, and was afraid that it was too old a look for me. I didn't sell it, but it sat in the closet. After a long time, years, I took it out and fell in love. Instead of feeling that it was too old a look for me, I thought it was tres chic. Yes, I was a few years older and perhaps my taste had changed a bit, but when I think of how sorry I would have been if I had sold it, allowing it to sit unused for a long time seemed worth it. I feel that a 35cm Kelly is a dressier alternative to a 35cm Birkin if you need a large bag to wear on a particular day. I admit that my go-to Kelly size, as an everyday bag has been 32cm, but I am glad to have the 35. I am keeping my one 35cm raisin box Birkin for the same reason. It is good to have in the closet if the need arises. It is the only 35 Birkin I have, and the rest are 30cm. Hope this helps. My personal thought for you is that you should keep it. It looks perfect on you! You are definitely wearing the bag and it isn't wearing you.

ETA: If you think a colorful strap would help, there are many out there (non-Hermes) that would give you a new look for not too much money. Many of the members here have sources at Mautto and Etsy.

This makes so much sense and was definitely similar to my thought process of whether or not to sell. Perhaps the only large bags I’ll have will be my H ones especially since I know I’ll never get them at the prices I did before. One will always need larger bags at times even if it’s not everyday. I also love the colorful strap idea! Thank you!

I love this bag on you! You look amazing! IMO, the look on your arm Is especially chic. Also in London and Paris I see plenty of women rocking bigger bags. I think a larger bag makes one look model slim and is also perfect for casual days. Of course it can also be dressed up too with flowing trousers  love
Not to get too off topic, but for the past year plus, the talk has been about the trend going back to bigger bags. I know the minis are still as popular as ever, but as the population ages, there seems to be the need to carry more things. Tote bags have become more popular than ever, but honestly, it starts to look like you are toting around luggage and some of them look sloppy. A larger handbag is a better alternative IMO.
