I agree with ame about pearls. I love them on other people, and I even think they are beautiful; I just can never get them to look right on ME. For some reason, I only wear them when I feel like I need to dress stuffy or very conservatively (funerals, especially). I see all the beautiful pearl jewelry out there and I wish I could change my feelings about them. I've just tried so many times to wear them and I just never feel right in them.

I like both colored gemstones and diamonds, though. I'm not picky when it comes to sparkly things! I'm not as fond of emeralds, as green is not my color, but I am especially fond of blue stones (topaz, aquamarine, sapphire).

^^ I laughed out loud when you said that you wear pearls for "stuffy or very conservatively" events (funerals)! LOL! Tell us how you really feel about pearls.:p:roflmfao: Lately, I see a lot of younger women wearing pearls. At school, there are a lot of 20s something wearing pearls. Although, I think many of them wear it because it is trendy right now.

For the cheap white beads comment: I think if you see high quality pearls in person, you'll totally change your mind about pearls, but I completely agree that low quality pearls are ghastly. Ugh, once, one of my Spanish teachers had a 22" strand of rice pearls that were DISGUSTING. I honestly thought that they looked like a necklace of little teeth! *shudder*

I love my pearls though (obviously). My pink freshadamas look amazing on me because the orient (cool blues, purples and greens) makes my skin glow! Sometimes it's hard to wear white pearls, but if you feel comfortable in them, then they should look great no matter what!
