All-Leather Kelly Lakis...WOW

thanks. thats interesting - I was surprised too when the SA told me all leather was a bit cheaper than the canvas mix but he explained that by saying that the canvas mix needs more work apparently. He also didnt tell me that canvas was discontinued but who knows...this would not be the first time I am told sthng incorrect by an SA at H
In any case, as I already have the canvas, it was not so much the price driving the decision but rather figuring out how the canvas mix compares to the all leather .... but it seems no one else has both the bags?

This is really strange.

I just passed a canvas one ond SO ordered an all leather... and the price of the leather one is quite higher than the canvas.

My boutique had the canvas few days ago..maybe one of the last?

I don't have any Lakis yet, but I have seen both and tried both on. The main difference I could see is that the all leather is much havier. But I have no idea about the aging, patina, spa...

thanks. Did they let you do an SO btw or was this podium? I was told that they expect quite a few lakis all leather for winter (paris and london)

It's SO, and it was my second try.

I first wanted it in graphite, but the order wasn't accepted. So I went for etain and it was accepted. The order wasn't done during the podium and I think that's why it was a SO. But I guess it could come with podium as well.

I quite like it in all black in the first photo...quite cool. Would carry it in a flash but the price point seems quite, erm...restrictive - I don't know if I would prefer it to a 'regular' birkin or kelly if I had to choose for the amount I mean...

Does anyone have both a 35 and a 40 Kelly Lakis? I am interested in a Lakis to use as a work bag, and would like to know how much can fit in the 35. Also, I am wondering if the 40 would be too overwhelming (or too heavy)since I am only 5' 2". Appreciate any input Kelly Lakis owners can provide. Thanks very much.

The Lakis in all leather is a VERY heavy bag....I had to re-think on it because of it.

Would the leather and toile version of the Lakis be lighter than the all-leather version? I I am interested in using the Lakis as a bag for work and would love to fit my computer in the bag as well (that would add to the weight of the bag).

Yes, the toile version is definitely lighter than the all-leather. I have both but I must admit that I love my all leather Lakis more!

Ever since I saw Bababebi's avatar I loved the Kelly Lakis. It sang to me in a way the Birkin and Kelly never did. Some love them, some hate them but the zips on the outside - what a great idea. But I always thought the style had been discontinued until I stumbled across this thread. I called my local store and have just been told that my store has ordered an Kelly Lakis 32 in vermillion swift with PHW. Well, my name is down against it and now begins the long, long wait. It was just ordered this January so delivery expected Autumn at the earliest.

It looks to me to be the perfect combination of casual and smart and all I need to do now is future how to pay for it!!!!!!!
