All fine, all costume, or mixed jewelry?

I mostly where fine jewelry when I go out on special occasions, for daily where I like to mix things up and where pieces that match my clothes, and it is easier to do that with costume or silver jewelry with stones.

Mostly gold or sterling because I tend to throw my jewelry around, sometimes into the shower, and costume just doesn't last for me because of that. Even an inexpensive sterling piece will last decades all you need is a polishing cloth.

There are some cute costume pieces out there and I do wear that about 20% of the time. I am always on the lookout for durable costume jewelry!

Rings however I never ever wear costume. For some reason costume rings just don't look right or scream cheap (even when they are not :D) maybe because I can take a very close look at them? I was really drooling over some Sorrelli rings but passed on them for this very reason.

I only wear fine jewelry, period. I have allegies to fake metal so I don't even bother. I also tend to stick to diamonds too, but I'm thinking of starting a colored gems collection.

I mix. I wear mostly fine jewelry b/c I can't wear base metals. I always wear gold or SS in my ears due to sensitivity.

I also have a collection of vintage jewelry (silver, bakelite, lucite, wood, etc), so I have to mix or I'd never wear it!

I tend to wear fine earrings and my rings are either SS or platinum (both with diamonds) but necklaces tend to be a mix ... at the moment im loving wearing my diamond bezel necklace (thank you Erica!) which is diamond and white gold and then layering with a fun beaded (and cheap) necklace for colour.
