All fine, all costume, or mixed jewelry?

There are too many fun, trendy pieces not to enjoy wearing a mix. If someone wants to define me by my jewelry - that's their problem. My dearest piece of jewelry is a specially made bracelet with pictures of my dearly loved dog. It is noticed and commented on more than anything else I wear.

I used to wear only the real stuff but realised that it was a lot more fun to mix them all up. Now I really enjoy the vintage costume accessories that I bought off Etsy.

I mix it up, but I only purchase quality costume, so they blend really well with my designer goods. Although, I don't see anything wrong all fine or all costume - I think it depends on the "look" you are trying to achieve.

I mix it up, but it also depends on how I'm dressed. For example, if it's a really casual day, other than my e-ring & wedding band, I wouldn't really wear fine pieces. On the same idea, if I'm dressed more for evening, I'd tend to wear finer pieces and leave the costume ones at home.

I don't really own costume jewelry. I have one plated gold bracelet that I wear often b/c it has sentimental value, but for the most part, I just wear different pearl combos + my watch.

I guess I wear whatever looks good together, for example, I have a long antique solid gold chain with an antique solid gold compass on it and I like it layered with a long inexpensive strand of crystals I got at J Crew.
