I think it's only because of the intrecciato leather and the stitching on the round part. Mine's not as prominent but I see it's because of the weave design/pattern.

yeah i think yours is not as prominent. i think the leather is cut in such a weid angle that the "raw" part of it made it more visible if that makes sense. its actually been awhile since i got a bottega but quality came a long way from before. Its actually another brand i prefer other than Hermes but now i dont know. its not even lined with suede anymore like their bags before. How was the wear and tear on yours?

BV is definitely taking some shortcuts. In the past grommets were used in openings like that - either leather or metal. No more matching mirrors, no more beautiful suede linings and now for pretty much double the price in the last 5-6 years.

Yes. I was really surprised with this. I didnt notice it in the store. I really love BV bec ofits understated look and leather but little things like that shouldnt be visible in abag that expensive! oh well. How's your wear and tear?

Wear and tear is minimal. But I have a lot of bags so none get much use. The nappa leather seems to be the same excellent quality but with the larger weave the leather relaxes more, gaps open and becomes a little sloppy looking.

So trueeee, though my SA mentioned they had to get rid of the grommets because of the leather rubbing issue the Andiamo had before with the straps. Not sure if that's true, still, for that pricepoint, we expect both quality and appearance to be perfect. I'd still say though that Bottega's bag quality is still amazing compared to any other luxury brands these days (next to Hermes of course). I hate that they are doing some cuts (and keep raising prices) but I just hope the gold card/cert of craft makes up for it in the long run.

I only had mine for a few months, so far i don't see any wear except that the straps are now easier to pull through. I agree on the slouch being more obvious than the smaller weave, but I do like the effortless vibe it gives.

I went into BV today to try on the Andiamo, fully thinking I would find something wrong with it (I don’t have a large purse collection and am generally picky) and finally stop daydreaming about it, but I walked out with the small in Barolo! My every day purse for years has been a Celine Luggage Nano, and this is the first bag that can compete with it in my heart.

It is stunning and it suits you really well! :-)
I'm also considering whether I should buy it or not. But yesterday I saw a woman in a store wearing the bag and it doesn't looked good at all... It looked worn out with a weird shape. Maybe she had too many things inside.

Now I'm not sure anymore 🤔

That’s how it looks when there are heavy items in it and you wear it with the long strap

Personally I actually really like the Andiamo when it’s half-cinching due to its contents (more so in the larger sizes)! Gives it a very casual and cool vibe, in my opinion, I don’t want the bag to look too boxy or stiff. When my medium arrives in the next few weeks I’m planning to let her slouch a bit!

Not sure if it’s because i only had mine for a few months, but this is how it looks on me right now with heavy contents.

Yikes mine doesn't look anything like that. It still looks new, but I don't overstuff it and maybe have only worn it 20 times so far? I tend to rotate my purses to avoid wearing any down quickly, so it's hard to say. I'll report back after I've worn it more

What colour is you andiamo bag? They look different in both lighting, or do you have two bags?
Just one bag. It’s pinecone <3 I’m deadset on fondant when I went in store, but when SA showed this and I tried them on, it was love at first sight. I do agree that the bag changes in shade depending on different lighting, and that’s actually why I fell hard for this color.
