Hey guys,

wow I love reading this forum it is pretty addicting... I think I am the youngest one on here at 19! :-p So I finally got paid and caved in and bought ANOTHER coco (for those of you who don't know I bought one on ebay that was a bad fake and returned it and got my money back) on Ebay- yes I know shoot me... but ebay and paypal have safeguards against selling fakes so if it turns out to be a fake I will return it again I hope it isnt. I just didn't want to have to wait on a waiting list. It was a BIN for $850. We'll see I'm sort of putting it out of my mind until it comes so I can decide whether it's real or not.

This is so crazy I have no expensive purses- this is my first expensive bag! I got a Tory Burch tote for school at Last Chance (Nordstrom's store one step below the Rack) in Scottsdale but it's just to carry my books at school... So I am excited to finally have a bag that I can wear proudly.

One thing that I am looking for though is a wallet... I am super particular on what I want though... I want a zippy wallet for sure, and something where you look at it- it doesn't scream the brand... I am in love with a lot of the miu miu simple zippy wallets but haven't found ANYTHING similar to them that doesn't scream the brand name... what wallets do you ladies carry in your cocos? Just curious?

:)
Andrea

Hi AKE/Andrea,
I hope you get the real one this time. You can compare it w/ some close up pics posted, or better yet bring it to the store near you who carries AW & see if it has the same quality as the other AW bags that is made of the same leather. Keep us posted.

I only have 1 wallet that I love so much, it's a Black Money Wallet w/ Gold Giant Hardware from Balenciaga. They also have the zipper wallet that you can use as a clutch. You can check there website. I will post pics when I get home.

Hi ladies,
I haven't read this whole thread because it is so long so pardon me if this is repetative but does anyone like the BLUE COCO with SILVER Studs?? I LOVE it and am thinking of getting it versus the black. Just got the Louis Cube so I don't need another black bag and I love the silver studs against the lighter blue. Just looking for thoughts?

Hey
Thanks @imlvholic I will definitely look out for that balenciaga wallet! I saw the pictures of the new grey with silver studs coco and wow... I am thinking of re-selling the black one and ordering the grey one... no one on here liked it but I think it is absolutely amazing and stunning. We'll see I'm on pins and needles waiting for some YSL tribs I ordered and now my coco! Keep you ladies updated ;)

regarding comments about age and this bag- and "rocker chic" I just read (in Us I think)
that Gwen Stefani just turned 40 if she's not rocker chic I don't know who is?
and if she carried this bag it certainly would "ROCK"

I just bought this bag from eBay. It was listed as new, though the seller informed me she had used it a couple of times.
It looks authentic to me. The leather is so soft and the studs look identical compared to pictures of the real thing. I just can't tell if it's fake or not just by looking at the leather, because every bag looks so unique. Some bags look extremely texturized, and other bags don't...

What bothers me is that I just saw a picture of the "made in China"-tag in this forum. On the real bag it is so small, and almost invisible.
The tag is small on my bag too, but it's noticably bigger. Is it possible that the tag looks different from bag to bag..?

I also got the reciept from Net-a-porter, but it just seems so easy to make a fake reciept.

Here are some pictures:

Hope someone can help me figure out if I should send it back or not.
Thank you in advance!

i could not say for sure!
my tag is much smaller and rectangular but that CAN indeed be different as it is simply a "made in....." tag and not a branded one for that.
maybe someone else can give their opinion? it looks good to me?!

Compared to the zipper, it looks wide enough, but the length is indeed long. I think if it were shorter it would be correct. Maybe it just isn't into the seam very far? The bag itself looks good though - leather, hardware, etc... I know that no small details like an origination tag could possibly be perfect on every bag. And I know that quality has been a long-time issue with designer couture made in China - especially leather quality. I've even heard of origination tags that had been left out altogether. Mistakes happen.

I'm with demicouture and haute_stuff. Since those tags are sewn into the seams by people who put in long very long hours, and who are moving very quickly in order to meet their outrageous daily quota, I can't imagine that at least one couldn't end up looking like that.

Also, be sure that the seller is on the up. If they have good feedback and don't constantly list the same bag over and over, then they are probably OK. There is one FAKE seller on Ebay who lists tons of AW bags using only stock photos, and they get a hefty sum for each one too. I don't know how they do it.

IMO, based on your pics and if your seller seems legit, and there is a receipt (not that those can't be faked, I suppose), you probably have an authentic bag. AW should start putting serial numbers or holograms to his bags.:p
