Same here. They seem to be really busy and their replies take quite a long time.

Mine will be shipped next week because they need to transfer the bag from their store in NY to Hawaii first. Anyone else with that issue?

Gotta love the Granite btw! :smile1:

Are you getting the Gray one? I considered that one but they didn't have it so they would have to ship from NY to HI, but then I decided on the granite. I think they are very busy since the sale, guess I got lucky!

Yes. I wanted Granite at first, but I was worried about the green undertones.
They send me pictures and told me that there is a slight color transformation to a light brown. I don't mind that and I think it still looks pretty grey. I asked them for a discount since there is the issue with the color transformation and a little flaw on the leather (as you can see on the first picture).
I don't think that the pebbling is too bad, especially for a really glazed Rocco.
They didn't reply yet. I'm hoping for a discount, no matter if it's huge or not.

If you don't like green undertones then don't get it, but in this bag it looks more brown and shiny, mine doesn't have the shine to it, more matte finish. Each bag is different and color changes depending on the light, strange.
I hope they will give you discount, but it's already on sale. Is there something wrong with it?

Beautiful! Love it!
For me, there will be €130 extra costs, so that's quiet a lot, but still €150 less than in stores in Amsterdam. Hmm, difficult decision, haha!

Have fun with your bag!

They don't declare the full value of the purse do it should save you money on customs.

Well, the Melange Grey is usually a really cool grey. I've seen a few in person and the colors were not that different.
Aloha Rag told me that the reason for the color transformation is light exposure.
I guess that the transformation is pretty strong, because they instantly cancelled my order. I told them that I don't mind, but I also told them about the white flaws I recognized on the pictures. They look pretty faded, almost scratched.
I guess that's just from being in store for such a long time. I believe that Melange Grey was made in 2011. Also, Melange Grey is one of the few Roccos that are extremely glazed and smooth.
Aloha Rag told me that they are not sure if the bag is in perfect condition. They will check on hardware scratches as soon as it arrives.
So it seems like it has been thrown around a little, I guess.

LV: Going to condition it? If so, what with? I used leather honey on my black/brass to good effect. The stuff I had from LMB left a white residue.

MMM: I think you should get an additional discount if the bag is flawed enough that they canceled your order. In the pictures, I really like the distressed look it has, so you will have gotten a great deal. :)

Question re: weight of the Rocco. I keep hearing how heavy the Rocco is. I just ordered my very first, and now I'm used to carrying around Rebecca Minkoff morning after bags, which (to me) are extremely heavy. But I'm used to them. Does anyone carry both, and if so, is the Rocco substantially heavier? Just curious.

Thanks :smile1:

I don't find it that heavy. And I load mine up (it can hold a ton). But I'm long used to carting around big loads (kid stuff, books and computer for work) so I may not be the best judge. :)

I don't know, should I? I noticed with colored leather this is usually the case. I am scared to damage the bag!

I don't want to say yes and then you ruin the bag. I've used the LH on the black, like I said, a red bal (that worked miracles) and a bronze PS1, which did seem to darken after the second application. I'd had it a month though, and PS is prone to that.

Since the Roccos in Black are glazed and Granite Roccos are not, I would definitely condition it. No matter which color, the matte ones need conditioner.
A friend of mine has the Mercury one and she didn't condition it. The leather looks so flat and dull now. There's just no shine anymore.
Even matte ones have a little bit of glow in the sun.
She started using conditioner a while ago and it definitely helped, but the leather is still a little flat looking.

I will moisturize/condition mine as well even though it's glazed.
Edge Kote seems to be a must, so I will try it as well.
