Yeah I wouldn't.. it's too nice too.. I regret putting too much stuff in my Rocco because eventually the edging broke

Oh really?! I'm not going to stuff it with that much stuff since I do use the locker at school so I could always exchange and put away books or binders. I just need to use it to carry things to certain classes. I probably will just have minimal stuff in it like maybe a 1 inch binder, the class book, a water bottle, and my pencil case.

I'm worried about the leather and the edging breaking from reading the other threads. :x

Your "minimal stuff" will still be too heavy.:(
The classic Rocco with brass bullets weighs in at 1.4kg empty. The cupcake studs a tad lighter but still heavy.

The leather piece, that has the D-ring for the long strap, of my Rocco broke again! Twice in 6 months! I returned the bag to Harvey Nichols and was told it is normal wear and tear. After my parents insisting the bag being faulty, they took it back and told me it will be examined and i'll hear back from them in a month...

Honestly, at this point, as much as i love my Rocco, i just either want mine replaced with a new one or just want my money back...

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this with their rocco. It's probably more noticeable on black roccos. But I wore my rocco out for the first time. I was wearing cotton sweater and shorts and sort of noticed the lining (of the straps on the middle of the bag) was sort of rubbing off. Here's a photo somebody has provided on this forum before. It's not as bad as the photo, but the red circled areas are sort of what I am experiencing around the strap linings.

Anyone else? Is this normal? I knew the leather wasn't the best when buying this. But if it's a defect on this specific bag, I think I want an exchange. If not, it's fine. Any recommendations to protect/ prevent it?

Does anybody know where you can find the Rocco in Florida (in and around Miami or Tampa Bay Area)?
I also thought about ordering but I want to take a look at it first.

Have you tried working with a SA that can text/email you photos that way you know what you're receiving? My guy is amazing if you need a recommendation let me know. I buy all my AW and Celine bags from him.

You could also order from Bopshop and if you don't like the back the return is free!

I believe is just the nature of the cowhide, mine is Brandnew and it has this on the center, I don't believe it's a defect, unless it wasn't there when you purchased it!

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
I'm really interested in how this will wear overtime if it already wears after first use. I never owned cowhide before, so I had no idea! But good to hear it's normal and i'm not the only one.

Would love to hear what other people have to say about the wear and tear, and how it would look like over time. I hope it doesn't look beat couple of months down the road :(

So do you mean the bag won't support my necessary school supplies or will it just be too heavy to carry? :nogood:

An A4 folder wont fit , but there is enough space for a small book, water bottle, wallet, rolled-up cardigan etc but that will make the bag way too heavy for comfort.

Frankly - the Rocco would be my last choice for a school bag. The opening just isn't wide enough to fit a school book easily. You'd be lucky to fit maybe one small sized book in there. And forget about a notebook! Also, the weight of the bag itself would be way too cumbersome. If I add anything more than just my wallet, sunglasses and my small make-up bag it's painfully heavy. And I'm very very used to heavy bags.

Can the rocco bags be used for school? Are they durable to carry books and school supplies? I'm trying to find the right bag to use for school in a couple of months.

I wouldn't. It's too heavy for school, you wouldn't want to be carrying it all day. Plus it's too nice of a bag to take to school. I wouldn't risk scratching the leather or the studs... Or let any filthy hands touch it (lol). If you want to take care of the bag, then don't bring it to school, but it's your choice in the end.

I've only managed to fit a A4 file in my Rocco but not side ways, just portrait, but it still sticks out... if that makes sense. :X the opening is too small to fit large books in, and again, the weight will be way too uncomfortable.
