I've just purchased an AW Donna from an eBay seller called getdh. Bag's been authenticated by Skittle, he gave me a great price, super service, fast communication. He says he purchases directly from AW at wholesale and has quite a few bags listed. You might want to take a look. He was negotiable on his "buy now" price BTW.
Just bought my very first AW bag the other day and it was the Marti bag! The person that was selling it didn't know if it was a mini or the original (It was a gift and she didn't seem to know anything about AW bags), the measurements she sent me was 14,5 x 16 inches. It seems to be the original, but the measurements on different sites (including Alexander wangs own) differs A LOT when it comes to the Marti bag. Does anyone know if the bags actually varies in sizes that much or is it just a case of different measuring techniques?
Side note, can't actually contain my happiness for this bag! And the fact that I got it for 300$, hardly used, makes me actually want to cry a little.

Sounds like the regular sized Marti, I've had both and the mini is substantially smaller than the regular. The size descriptions drove me nuts, the AW site was all over the place when it came to measurements. Anyone else want to comment on this? Show us a pic of your Marti!

It's not only the measurements that differs, some of them have fabriclining and others (I think the newer versions) are all in leather. A few I've seen have a different shoulder strap that looks like the strap of a brenda bag. I'm gonna insert pictures of the different things I've seen. How does your bag look? :weird:

The Donna also comes with or without suede trim...I've never seen the Marti with a Brenda strap, does anyone know when that came out? I did a lot of web searching before I bought my Mini Marti and have never seen that particular strap! I've attached a couple of pics of my mini, I love the hardware on this bag. Is your new bag the washed leather or the distressed? I had the regular in the bottle green distressed leather but sold it as I felt it was a bit too big for my very small frame. I also have a theory that the distressed leather might make the bag look a bit larger because the leather is stiffer and doesn't slouch as readily. I have the Donna in distressed leather but am looking for it in the washed leather as well, not sure what colour yet!

How has it been holding up? I'm getting it in the washed leather, hardly haven't seen one in distressed! I'm still waiting to see if it's a mini or the original, for the price I couldn't do anything but to take the risk. 
I've seen a lot with the rhodium hardware, can you tell the difference between that and the regular one? They look the same to me in pictures anyways

I'm not an Alexander Wang expert at all, although I've recently bought several bags...The hardware on my mini marti is called iridescent, I know there's nickel, rose gold and matte black. Have you had your bag authenticated on PF yet? I've done that with all of the bags I've purchased. You need several photos, if you look at the first post on "authenticate this AW...please read first post" you'll see the photos that help to authenticate.
I'm gonna ask the ladies if they wanna authenticate it when it arrives, but I'm not really worried. I think it's really hard to get a fake marti in Europe, since it's even hard to get the real deal! But one can never be sure and one must always consult the wise purseforum ladies :worthy:

Post a pic of you wearing it when it comes! As to how mine is wearing...still sleeping in my closet. I'm currently wearing my Rockie...I'm saving my Marti for the fall, as it's black. I need an AW in a light colour, all of mine are dark, so it might be time to shop...

I'll do that, hopefully it arrives tomorrow (I can't handle waiting another weekend!). Yeah, it will be a go-to during the fall for sure! I would love a white bag, haven't owned one for a long time.. jeans and white bags - why can't they just get along?
My next Aw will probably be a Rockie, and I'm thinking pebbled Latte

I love my Rockie, it fits a lot more than you'd expect, although I did get rid of a few things to size down (stuff I rarely used anyway!). The latte is gorgeous with the rose gold. As an FYI, there's a seller I deal with on ebay, named getdh, he gets salesmen's samples and stuff directly from the showroom and he's quite accommodating, willing to negotiate prices. I've gotten great prices from him. I've purchased a black distressed leather Donna and a Rocco in the beet colour with antique gold/bronze hardware and both bags are in perfect condition, he has a gorgeous pale pink Rockie with gold tone hardware listed right now that I'm lusting after. But again, pale colours...
