Morning!

OH MY $#@$@#@#$@# Can I rant here for a bit?:cursing:

So, Ocean Rocco popped up on the 'bay last night. I was excited! But life sometimes gets in the way and I forgot to bid. And of course, guess what was gone this morning when I signed on!?:crybaby:

Sigh. Hope another one pops up one day!

oh, susan!!!! that sucks!!!! don't worry, the right one will come along.

^^ITA. I saw that in the store window and I was grossed out. What a nasty bag. And I stopped buying their shoes a long time ago-they hurt my feet too badly!

i do have a pair of steve madden's that i do like.. i mean sometimes i can handle them.. such as my clogs that sort of look like the miu miu clogs.. i do really like those haha, hope you girls don't hate me for it :shucks: but i must admit, they are better than most steve maddens that i have usually seen..

^^Oh hon why would we hate you? Silly goose!!

I do like some Steve Madden shoes, believe me, and the pricepoint is good. But they just hurt so badly-I cant tell you how much money I wasted because I was trying to convince myself they just needed breaking in. And now that I have found JC there is no turning back for me!

Betty, thanks darlin :hugs:

Cinn, I could never hate you!:smile1: I own one pair of Steve Madden sandals and I liked them so much, I bought a second back up pair (which turned out to be a good idea because my mastiff puppy chewed one:nuts:). I'm a JC fan myself and I know JC has copied a few designs too.

omg...i totally missed the steve madden thread..ever since they took over BJ too, the designs and quality has really gone downhill.

cinn..ur a silly billy! you have such great style..who cares where it comes from? like b-mom says, jc has a few knock off designs too. it's only recently that they've started to do more distinctive designs. there are definitely a few questionable things in my closet that i wouldn't admit too. :blushing:

^^i bet you aren't the only one Betty ;) hehehe

I'm glad to see JC coming up with more original designs, for sure, but I do have to admit that I adore my Brisbane boots (which are their version of a Marni boot)....

Oh, I love Steve Madden shoes! When I was in my late 20s, I had a collection of Manolo Blahniks- maybe around 15 pairs. After a few years, I realized they ALL HURT LIKE HELL!! Pointed toes, stiletto heels... can't believe I spent that much money to be in pain all the time. Finally, I just gave my whole collection to my friend.

I bought two pairs of Steve Madden sandals. One black, one brown... I think $50 each. And I wore only those shoes until they both died. Then, I bought backup pairs of the same shoes and wore them out.

I've moved on and have since discovered the comfort and all-around awesomeness of Frye boots- I have a few pairs and wear them with every outfit.

I'll always be thankful for Steve Madden for rescuing me from those Manolos!!!

i have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes... i stand for most of the day and most flats can't take a beating like that. the only ones that have lasted me are a pair of studded boutique 9s.

i haven't tried SM in a long long time... maybe i should give them another look. I didn't really like JCs... they seemed sort of thin and prone to quickly wearing out.

awww you guys are so sweet! the steve madden clogs i have are actually pretty solid. i love them :D but that bag.. so ugly, but obviously us loyal Alexander Wang lovers would say that :p

JCs are fun/interesting/unique shoes, I don't expect them to last forever, considering most of the JCs i get are huge platforms so it's not like I'm wearing them all the time haha. I wish I could but I'm so afraid of bunions (used to have them, had surgery.. don't want them back)

really? how was the surgery? i think i might need to get it some point down the line... too much dancing and spinning on one foot.

For me it wasn't bad, did one foot at a time, I have bad scarring, but that is partially my fault, being in HS at the time, I didn't put the extra effort to use the stuff that would help the scars go away. Otherwise I didn't have a bad experience with it.. though I'm thinking I heal quicker than most only because I hear that usually the surgery is very painful. My feet didn't come out perfect, but now I will wear flip flops, sandals, etc. (before it was sneakers all year round to cover up my feet!)

Sigh, I'm so sad! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I relisted it right away, and as much as I love the colour and the style, I don't think it suits my lifestyle. I tried to make it work but the shoulder strap often falls down on my small shoulders, and I'm not a crook-of-the-arm purse-carrying kind of girl. It's such a shame :shucks:

happy saturday ladies!!!

i'm happy to report that while i was at the barney's sale yesterday, i found a pair of damaged aw Sigrid nappa leather boots for 60% add'l off. The zipper on the right boot wasn't working. When I rang them out, it was for $113 total! I figure my cobbler can fix and stretch the boot shaft for me. So much better than paying over $600 to get them shipped from UK outnet, which are sold out in my size now.

Also picked up a pair of AW Alla heels for $99. Can't complain!!
