He sure did :p Askars always looks good, but in uniform :faint: (thud!)

Well, let's sum up the game like this.

And the Swedish players' names who shot the goals seem to mock us too. Lustig (means funny in German), Elm/Elmander = Nightmare on ELMstreet.

:roflmfao: luv the pic, (and the name/s thing). Guess every team has to have their moment in the sun ;)

And I call BS on that National Enquirer item. Talk about projecting....that supposed dialogue? :roflmfao:

Edit: Anyone interested in American History might like to click on this link to a fascinating documentary called "Clouds Over Cuba" and what might have been.

Hi

Sorry this is my first time writing on this blog since I just registered to say thank you for the link on the "Cloud Over Cuba" . I'm half Cuban from my mother and the what she remember was very limited since at the time when it happened she was a little girl and the only thing I knew was my grandfather was in the "Bay of Pig" when it happen and what the history books tell us. There some things that I just saw in the documentary that I was ignorant about when the situation happened, so thanks for sharing. If you have more documentary about history please do share.

:smile1:

Welcome SaskiaMQ. I love a lot of genres of film and documentaries on historical events are one of them. I won't bore the thread by naming them, and we'll go off topic which will result in a spanking for moi' from the Mods (sorry not into 50 Shades action) , but when you work up enough posts I'm happy to PM with you.

Welcome again - always nice to hear new voices on the thread.

Welcome, Saskiamq!:D

Thanks, Zola.:smile1:

Great photos Santress :D. I think it's actually on the True Blood set. The vial of Lillith's blood is in the background of the Stephen Moyer shot.

Lucky fan though.:okay:
Yep, that does look like the chamber for the vial. Ok, good to know I wasn't crazy for thinking the guys were in vampire makeup.:p

More fan pics. This looks like it's from filming What Maisie Knew:

Not sure when this one is from. Going by the scruff and collar, maybe Comic-Con 2011 (July 22, 2011):

Nice interview with Stellan:

Stellan Skarsgård: my heroes and heroines

The actor on the people who inspire him
Jan Skarsgård

My father was an extremely knowledgeable but also very unconventional man, which made him fantastic to grow up around. He did not accept the bourgeois rules of society; the respect he showed us kids was uncommon. It still is really. You’ve got to respect kids’ opinions, their uniqueness.

Patti Smith

She’s a great all-rounder; a really talented writer and visual artist. Her songs are both poetic and thought-provoking and her memoir Just Kidswas a brilliant evocation of the heyday of the American music scene and a touching love letter to Robert Mapplethorpe.

Thomas Jefferson

In a world where there was no freedom, no democracy, no tolerance, Jefferson and the other founding fathers of America created the first state where every individual was protected, in theory at least. What we take for granted today is actually relatively new.

Tony Judt

He was a historian and New York University professor whose work I just love. I admired his intellectual capacity, but also his refusal to adopt convenient ideas.

Raoul Wallenberg

He was a diplomat from one of the wealthiest families in Sweden and went to Hungary towards the end of the Second World War to help the Jews. He probably saved about 20,000, by giving them Swedish passports and negotiating with Adolf Eichmann.

Mik :smooch: Right back at you 'cos is know how much you miss Gakka :hugs:

Thank you my friend :hugs::smooch:!!

This is a cute. Alex and Stephen wishing a fan a happy birthday.
I think this girl's mother took the pics and either met them or knows them.
At first I thought they were both in makeup/on set but I think the shot is just grainy and may be from Comic-Con 2012.

I was impressed by the Tony Judt mention. I shouldn't be surprised but, I'm still impressed.

OT: another interview with RL Colbert:

Q: Talk about your struggle with speeding. Have you ever been NJPed?

A: I never received an NJP. Professionally, it’s never impacted me. It’s been an expensive pursuit though. I’ve had a lot of familiarity with the civilian traffic court system....

Q: If you weren’t a Marine, what would you be?

A: God, there’s so many things that peak my interest. I would have loved to have been an astronaut. The whole reason I came into the Marine Corps was to fly. Then you grow up and reality sets in and you realize, ‘Oh wow, I’ve got to do four years of college in order to fly, that’s kind of boring.’ You know, capricious youth.

Q: What do you want to do once you retire?

A: I’ve thought about being a chef. I’d like to finish getting my helicopter pilot’s license. I wouldn’t mind getting a job with the CIA or NSA. There’s also been some interest in being a military adviser for production companies in Hollywood or Burbank, Calif.

^ Tks for posting that, and the link, which was also very interesting :smile1: and I'm impressed too :D

Back to perving over semi-naked Skars :p

Perving, it makes it seem like lusting after him is somehow wrong. I prefer terms like 'admire' or 'stare at for veeeery long periods of time while also possibly drooling a bit'. :smile1:

^ Oh right - I don't think that at all - it's just something we say when a hot guy appears, "just having a quick perve" and then we have a quick giggle - but I can see what you are saying 'cos if someone called me a 'pervert' I would be very offended - and if you don't like 'perve/perving', I will try not to say it 'cos it isn't a problem :smile1:
