Just read the first reviews for "Melancholia" - basically says the first part (the wedding, and everything revolving around Kirsten Dunst) is brilliant including her acting which they say is "some of the best work she's done so far" - they don't say alot about Alex (his role is not huge in the movie) other than his character is very likeable and handsome.
The second part (the planet about to crush the earth) is more about Charlotte Gainsbourg's character, and while her acting is excellent, it's a bit long and not so convincing (well according to french critics, and it's well known they're not big on sci-fi)...
Then obviously, everything about the movie got drown into "the Controversy" with LVT pulling a "John Galliano". I'm pretty sure he is no nazi, he knows it's a touchy subject, so he presses all the buttons to make headlines - a stupid way to have a buzz about his movie (which doesn't contain scenes of self mutilation this time)...

LOL another old Scandinavian man with a you can hear the cricket louder now in the background after your joke. It must be a hoot to have been on set with Stellan and LVT last year.

All in all I will see it but i am not in too much of a rush 2, LVT movies always give me WTF!! rashes. While visual I am sure it will be great, story wise I don't see it. But that could be because I don't care so much.

Hmmmm....Question....if WE can be banned here on this Forum then can people who drop in here on the Forum to stir up trouble, IMO, be banned as well? I mean is that why I hear Swanky mention "reporting people who come on here (this thread) to stir up trouble to the Mods? And are THEY actually banned when they are reported? Just wonderin'.
