I have always felt KB and Alex are more FWB than anything else. I have also entertained the notion that Alex has been intimate with men in his past. No big woop to me. This just makes me believe he is freaky in the sack. :graucho:

I totally agree with this ^^. Alex's attack isn't even the main rape. But I do remember Alex praising KB in a interview about how she handled the rape scene (which I find totally odd).

She is a professional actress, what other way should she handle herself? Well I'll tell you, she shouldn't be crying and shaking over it. When they say "cut" she should be able to break away from the scene and act normal. I have never heard of an actor (except for Health Ledger) get so into a part they internalized it like it really happened to them.

To me this relationship started on a really F-ed up note. I mean how can you act out a scene with a man brutalizing you and then somehow you become sexually attracted to that person. Or how can Alex act out a rape and then become sexually aroused with that person. When I have an initial experience with a person it's difficult for me to move beyond that, especially if it's a brutal/intense situation. This is why first impressions are so important. I just don't get how when they became intimate they didn't get Skeeved out. Or, I might add, maybe they have some internal sexual tendencies toward this. Can you say CRAZY!!!!

This relationship would be a psychiatrists wet dream.

LOL--great post. Not quite a wet dream, but close enough!!!!

I'm not sure if that was posted before but here's an old video of Alex walking to the TB season 3 premiere with his manager.
Enjoy the motion. :graucho:

LOL His manager reminds me of Ari from Entourage. :giggles:

I'd say welcome but it's an interesting entry you're making - on behalf of the regulars I'll say this and move on. I for one have an opinion on Kate Bosworth's acting and I have no problem expressing it. It's not positive. So yes, I guess that makes me a "hater" and you can leave me with that label, no problem with it. This has not historically been a thread which celebrates her in too many ways given her long history of leveraging her boyfriends, including this one, to get her career going. She is being discussed today given she's in a movie with Alexander Skarsgard.

Which leads me to ask - if this is your first time in this thread, do you have any interest in him? Know anything about him? Want to contribute to the dialogue? Because if not, I would politely suggest it's not our habit to support the thread posters being called names, it typically leads us to the mods and reports. Thanks and onwards.

1) Yes, as I mentioned, this is my first time in this thread, and didn't know that you were the spokesperson or president for this thread :confused1:
2) You can say someone is not a good actress without resorting to calling them "zimbio" or "grey" and whatever other denigrating names the "regulars" of this thread are calling this woman.
And yes, as the spokesperson of such a thread and of such "regulars", I'm not surprised at all that you have no problem with being named a hater :salute:

3) Yes, I am NEW to this thread and came here because I'm beginning to be interested in Alexander Skarsgard
You seem enlightened with all celebrities but poor ol' me is still oh-so-naive about relatively new foreign actors/actresses

so forgive me, truly forgive me for venturing to "contribute" to this thread :sweatdrop:
I hope for your sake and for the sake of all the "regulars" that it doesn't happen again :hnsnsn:

AND YES! "Thanks and Onwards"

First of all, Squirrel was so nice to explain to you how it works here. As you can see there's a number in the thread's title. So if you want to know where we're coming from you may should read threads I-XIII to see why we think the way we do about her.
I'm not exactly sure what a zimbio is (I only know this as a photo agency) but I don't find grey or beige very insulting. They're descriptive pronouns for this person which basically nails it. When you think we're such "haters" you may should check different sites who are more KB-friendly if you don't like the tone here. You are free to come and go.
And finally, you shouldn't take everything so serious here. Most of us just making jokes and see this thread as what it is - a gossip site. So don't take our gossip so seriously. It won't save the world neither does KB (see how I try to use a more friendly term) give a s**t about what we say. So enjoy the pretty pics.
Thank you for listening.

I think people should just remember there is an ignore button or to just ignore certain types of people. I find it odd that people like to come out of right field and label people haters. People should stop ascribing their own juvenile limitations to others. In the scope of things, KB is nothing but an annoyance that has used her association with him to her full advantage.

I don't understand why people would come to a place full of "haters". I don't like somewhere, I don't go there.

^ I don't think this thread is "full" of haters ;) In fact I didn't know my petulant remark would rub anyone the wrong way, it took me by surprise :shrugs:
As for my "juvenile limitations" :nogood:

But seriously, enough about insignificant-name-calling ME, let's get back to Alexander Skarsgard, shall we? (No sarcasm intended)

:party::tender::chatty:

I want to know if anyone has actually seen his anchors? I've never seen that medallion thing he's wearing in those pictures. If that's from that tacky jm collection I'm going to have to buy a plane ticket to Hollywood just so I can smack him one. Anyone know the story of the medallion? Is it vintage or is it cheap plastic cr*p from jm?

It's a Vintage necklace from Melet Mercantile. Probably just for the shoot.

And to answer your other question. Sadly, we've never seen his "anchor" but wait, you're talking about his necklace. Yep, those I've seen before.

I think the same way that we have been told to respect new posters and their right to like Kate, there also needs to be respect for those who don't.

For many it pre-dates her connection with Alexander. Some just don't like the way she acts (as in, onscreen), or how obvious it is that she often calls the paparazzi on herself.

For me, meh...sometimes I like what she wears (increasingly less these days) but no I don't have a great deal of respect for her, not as an actress, amongst other things.

Differing viewpoints keep the forum interesting, but tolerance goes both ways.

Looks like something happened at the press conference with Lars von Trier? He sounds like he was typical nutty director to me.

This is a live blog for Melancholia in Cannes

But seriously, I'm glad someone has seen them, they were missing in action for quite a while there.

Here you can take a look. I think before or after Coachella the anchors went back to his neck. This is the necklace in question.
I can totally understand that he wears it all the time. I myself have a necklace with, let's call it a lucky charm. Everyone has their personal symbol for this.

Melancholia (Cannes 2011)

By Mayer Nissim, Senior Entertainment ReporterRecommend0Tweet8Send to friend More optionsKirsten DunstCharlotte Gain…Lars Von TrierMovies"No more happy endings," director Lars Von Trier cheekily promised in the run up to Melancholia. Given that the ex-Dogme 95 man's films have previously closed with hanging, mass murder and genital self-mutilation, it's quite a statement. Here's he's assembled what must be his starriest cast to date. Kirsten Dunst and Antichrist's Charlotte Gainsbourg are ably supported by the likes of Kiefer Sutherland, Stelland and Alexander Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling and John Hurt. The set-up is your bog-standard shlocky Deep Impact/Armageddon sci-fi - a newly-discovered planet is hurtling towards the Earth. Being a Von Trier film, the execution is of course anything but.

After a pre-credits sequence letting us know nice and early that there will be no last-minute heroics from Bruce Willis or Morgan Freeman, we get an emotional rollercoaster in two parts. The first focuses on the wedding of depressive Justine (Dunst) at her sister Claire's (Gainsbourg) country house. All around her people are coaxing, bribing, urging, pleading for her to just be happy. But she can't. Von Trier no doubt draws on his own struggles with the illness to give the viewer an exhausting window on depression. The second part flips the sisters' outlooks, as Melancholia (subtle-as-a-planetary collision, that name) edges ever closer.

It's visually stunning from beginning to end, with the opening and closing moments in particular being (quite literally) breathtaking. As a raw exploration of depression, the first part a offers a sense of understanding that Jodie Foster's The Beaver apparently couldn't get near, while the audience is also helped along by flashes of wonderfully dry humour. In a much starker part two, Gainsbourg, Dunst, Sutherland and Von Trier combine so well that as the inevitable occurs, you feel - if not as blown away as they are - not all that far off.

gave it 5 starts

Ok ladies, Delphi gave me some detailed infos for Cannes yesterday.

There are 3 screenings of Melancholia on Wednesday :
At 8:30 in the morning, at 2 pm and the last one at 10:30 pm with the walk on the red carpet being scheduled around 10 pm. Maybe if we're lucky he flies in Tuesday night and goes back home Wednesday night to not waste that much time on the set.
They said in the press that LvT has never shown a film at Cannes and left empty handed award wise, so fingers crossed.
