Mine drive me a little crazy at work, too. When I first got them I wore them on my left wrist, but switched them to my right wrist. I plan on getting another one tomorrow plus I have my name in for 2 more hopefully coming in.

I have 7-8 russian gold and 3 silver tone bracelets. I LOVE them. I was sad that the russian gold ones turned within the first week or so. I was careful to avoid getting them wet and avoided perfumes/lotions. However, they still turned. I havent had any issues with the silver tone so I will probably only buy that tone going forward.

I have 6 Russian gold, 3 Russian silver and 1 shiny gold. I just started buying them last Monday. I think I went overboard and I'm going to take a break.
I would contact them about the ones that turned. You can get their contact info on their website.
What happens when they turn? I checked the ones I got last week and they look the same. I kept my receipts, if mine turn I will complain.

I contacted Alex and Ani customer service and they explained that's the nature of the recycled material. I also brought it up with the shop owner where I buy them and she said she has customers who love the discolored rose gold look.
I had a few turn and I just set them aside until I have a stack of the distressed ones and at that time I will see if I can make them work. My original Russian Silver bangles have turned rose gold at the hinges. I love the look and the fact its recycled materials on top of being from RI where they are made keeps me coming back for more.

I'm glad I found this thread. I am very petite and have never been able to wear normal-sized bangles because they are all too big. I've been wanting something semi-light to layer with my watches (a SS Rolex Datejust and a TT Cartier Tank). I just purchased two sets of bangles from Alex and Ani. I got the set of three (smooth and textured) in shiny gold and the same set of three in shiny silver. I wanted to keep it simple and avoid too much clutter on my wrist.

Hey girls! I just wanted to mention that Alex and Ani have a one year warranty on their pieces. If the charm falls off, if the metal breaks, etc etc, they will replace the (whole) bangle. As for the tarnishing, the gold will turn very fast but the silver will withstand a lot. I like to make mine shine so I use a silver polishing cloth on them. They also have their special of the month, which they take $5 off that specific bangle. For the people that don't like the jingling I suggest you buy the wraps instead. The stay in one spot and don't have charms that will catch in anything (besides the manufacturing ones which are tiny anyways). Hope this post helps :)

After mine arrive, does anyone have any suggestions for maintaining my shiny gold bangles? For the price, I'm not expecting them to last forever, but I'd like to maintain them as much as possible. I don't plan on wearing them daily, so that should help.

I take mine off as soon as I am home. I lay them out individually on a towel and fold the towel over to cover them. They should give you a card w/care instructions.

Today they release the new fall line.

I noticed my Russian gold beaded bangle was getting light black marks on it so I wiped it w/a damp paper towel and it looks good. I was at the retailer where I buy them, today and I asked about cleaning them, which mild soap to use. They told me Dawn dishwashing liquid. They also use it on their Pandora bracelets, they look shiny and new. So tonight my bangles are getting a bath.

I now have 13 and I started collecting 2 weeks ago. Today I got a beaded one and I was allowed to use my Hallmark reward points towards the purchase price. I had $8 today and have a $20 one on the way.
