Airport shopping in Europe

Wow you gals are "bad news" for the Lolo budget..... I was at Zurich airport for 6 hours in January as we missed a connecting flight and you will never believe this: I didn't set foot in the H boutique - I had the kids with me and its hopeless even looking at shops with the critters. I've booked next month's trip with a deliberate layover of a couple of hours for shopping. And I will be sans enfants...This is bad! I can't afford to buy much, quite honestly so I am thinking only scarves and the H bracelet. I'm really hoping they have les Chevaux des moghuls in black, I am so desperate for it! (desperate for another scarf... how mad have I become from hanging out in these parts!)

The airport shops are so small, they normally don't have much in stock at all! Geneva shop is a nice size, but I would assume that Heathrow has the best shop of all.

Re: Heathrow: the one at T4 is pretty small, though I don't really know any other airport Hermes to compare it with. There is usually a decent selection of scarves, ties, belts, some RTW, some jewelry, some home collection, even perfumes...

...but no Kellys or Birkins, at least not any of the times I've been there (and I'm there at least 5-10 times a year) -- but who knows? One can always hope!

Just a quick info on Prague airport shopping. There's a Hermes corner in a designer store... They only have a few scarves and ties, some bracelets and watches. No leather accessories and only some canvas bags.

Munich is great, there is a wonderful SA, I don't know her name but she has dark skin, such a sweetie with wonderful taste! They had a bunch of Picotins, that I remember.

Agreed! A very nice store and selection (much better than the one in the SF International Airpot). They also had a bunch of Bolides.

LIVE FROM LONDON! <<<drumroll>>>

Today Heathrow T4 has a lot of GPs (in grey, red and green) and a few Herbags and some small totes - the ones that fold flat, but I can never remember the name of. There is not much by way of leather, though -- no belts, for example. (And of course they never, ever get kellys and birkins.) But there is a smattering of just about everything else, including scarves - twillys too - and cadenas and jewelry. There's also currently an unmarked promotion of 20% off all womens (and probably mens) RTW, but bear in mind that the selection, albeit from A/W, is quite limited. Let's see... what else... there are also quite a few pareos and towels for anyone looking for resort wear.

I know this blog is about airport shopping in Europe but if you ladies or gentlemen ever fly to asia, make sure you fly through the Singapore airport!!!! They have a great selection! Walked into the Hermes boutique at the Singapore airport 2 weeks ago on way back to Hong Kong and saw a Bolide and Lindy. They also have a great selection of four touts and GP.
