Well, as you probably know - strikes of that size are not very common around here.French TV channels are talking about that huge strike, Ludmilla….
We have had strikes for weeks here too.
No one can make travel plans at the moment.
I hope you are feelîng better tonight.![]()
Bags on wishlists are no ban breakers.Get better soon Ludmilla, I too suffer chronic migraine ..it’s no fun ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
I fell off ban island(which I’d been on since mid December) yesterday ..it was a bag which had been on my wishlist for ages, the Mario Valentino mini Satai mock croc leather bag, it had sold out in store…I found it reduced online and just Had to buy it.there are 5 bags currently left on my wishlist.
I can wait to receive my new bag, although it feels very naughty!
Yes, Ludmilla, the « fun » goes on and on….Well, as you probably know - strikes of that size are not very common around here.
But, we survived.
You have some ongoing „fun“ in France, too. Any protests in your area?
Happy Monday, Mariapia!Hello ladies
After carrying my nylon bags for a couple of weeks, I took out one of my lightest weight leather bags this morning…
I don’t know if I will be able to wear it all day….but I have to give it a try…View attachment 5755639

I'm so sorry you had to part with your beloved bags to pay medical bills. I hate medical bills most of all bills. DH has a lot of medical bills and I'm the one who has to deal with the insurance company, the doctors, and the hospital. The bills never match what the insurance says.Good morning, fellow Islanders!
A recent medical bill for my DH that our present health insurance refused to pay, hard choices regarding my bags had to be made.
So over the weekend I visited a high end consignment shop in my daughter‘s vicinity. Before I went I had to send them pics of bags they might consider.
The only interest they showed were in my Longchamps, Gerard Darels, and two Dooneys. Interestingly enough, once they actually saw the bags they offered me a cash offer for all the bags I’d brought rather than charge me any consignment fees.
(I think it helped that all my bags came with their dust bags and were in (their words not mine) “exceptional condition”)
So, my dear friends, I accepted their offer without hesitation.
With the proceeds I was easily able to cover my DH’s medical bill with enough left over for any other “surprises” our health insurance may have in store.
On the bright side of this otherwise dreary tale, my daughter (who was with me at the time) insisted
on treating me to an early Mother’s Day gift.
(A gift she knew I would have no choice but to accept after I’d categorically refused to allow her to pay her father’s medical bill)
