Just a quick update, I have decided to go for the smaller 31mm mid-size (so much for waiting until Monday!)

Thanks for all your help, I truly appreciate the time you have taken to help me decide.

My new Rolex shall be:

Stainless steel Datejust, with Oyster bracelet, 31mm with fluted bezel.

BUT my new dilemma is - should I go for the white dial with roman numerals or go for the white dial set with diamonds?

Which do you think would be the most fabulous?

I see you've already made up your mind! You have to go with what you think looks best on you--your opinion is the only one that counts. That being said, I think you are crazy to downsize!!

Imo it does not look manly, clunky or too big. I think it looks hot ! I think a man's size watch on a woman is way sexier than a smaller watch.

Of course, my opinion doesn't count! If you feel more comfortable in a smaller size and think it looks better that really is the right answer for you!

i have both a mid size and as well as a 36mm submariner rolex. Since i have purchased the 36 i have never worn the smaller one again. I just love mine, and don't think i would ever go back to a smaller watch.

Good luck, let us know what you decide

maybe you have decided already, but if not maybe you can post a 31mm on you that we can compare with? the 36mm does look a bit big on you, but if that's the look you are after then it's fine

Great choice! However, I would go smaller as well to the 31mm because right now it looks like a watch that is too large for your wrist and not a watch that can or is suppose to look oversized.
