Hi everyone, I need your advice quick as I only have 2 weeks left to exchange my Rolex for another model

I have been squealing for a Rolex since last summer and finally I have the one of my dreams - or at least I thought I had!

I wasn’t sure which model Rolex I wanted, so in January I began my search for a funky, sexy Rolex (I knew I didn’t want the smaller dainty Rolex as it just wasn’t me - I felt it made my hands look huge!) So my quest began within the mid size stainless steel Rolex collection. I knew I didn’t want anything too bling but I still wanted some diamonds. So having tried countless watches, I decided the stainless steel Datejust, with an oyster bracelet, 36mm silver diamond set dial with fluted bezel was the one for me - BUT now I have it I am just not sure. And to make matters worse and to confuse me even further my friend said it looked a little butch!

What do you think? I have posted 3 photographs (I apologise for the quality and the watch hasn't even been resized yet), but tell me, does the 36mm look too big (too butch?)

Should I change it for something smaller? Different? I would be ever so grateful if you could share you views with me as I really value your opinions AND time is running out…help!!

Sorry everyone, just realised my photographs have not been uploaded! Keep getting the message they are too big - can anyone tell me what size they should be in cm or inches or could I email the pics to someone and they upload them for me...I apologise for sounding so desperate, but I AM.

Below are pics of Gilly's watch - looking for your feedback pls!!!!!

Your pictures came up as I was writing. I think the mid-size would look great on you. There is a huge difference between 31 and 36. Also, IMO, the 31 is not too dainty. The ladies size is a 26 mm which is very dainty. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I think you can carry off big chunky watches! I don't think it's butch at all, a lot of women in Hong Kong including actresses wear the men's sized Rolex. But somehow I feel diamonds go better with smaller watches. For watches this big, I'd prefer something sportier like the Explorer or the Daytona without diamonds.

Big thank you to zh1va who kindly uploaded the pics for me and thank you to everyone for their advice, I really appreciate everyone's opinions and I need all the help I can get for my dilemma.

As for what I will decide the jury's still out...I will try and wait until after the weekend when more people have had their say!

However, just have to ask, which size is the mid-size? When I specified I was looking for mid-size I was shown a selection of 36mm - is the mid-size usually classified as the 31mm?

Everyone has such good taste on this site and I must admit that 'butch' accusation is still ringing in my ears - so please keep voting girls I really do need your help xx

I'm not familiar with all the mm sizes available with Rolex but I can tell you I love my 33mm J12. It's a perfect size for me. I have small-not tiny-wrists and gives me a big look but not super chunky. I do not think your current watch looks 'butch' at all but it sounds like you might like it better with a smaller mm size....do what makes you happy! Good luck.
