First of all, I'm brand new around here so HIIIIIIIIII!

How are you doing? I hope you guys can help me suggest an everyday necklace with a fairly dainty thin chain (with the length of 16" would be perfect) and a pretty pendant that basically screams "I may be small but I make a statement". But that's not all, I want something that could survive if you know what I mean, it could handle the sun, the water (I swim) etc. My maximum budget is $300 (but I can make an exception of $400 if it's worth it ).

Are you looking at gold or silver?
I like Tiffany's for everyday necklace; even if the chain seems dainty, it is pretty sturdy.

I suggest mini-bean, floating heart, the Picasso dove or one of the silver keys.
I have the mini-bean in gold and it really is a terrific piece.

Let us know what you decide!

I'm a big fan of Tiffany's but I'm not entirely sure about the silver since I play tennis and I swim so I'm afraid the sweat and the water would damage the necklace badly. Other brands beside Tiffany's suggested?

What sort of pendants do you like?

Do you want something like an initial pendant, something that sparkles, something modern, something antique looking?

^I suggest gold because the OP was concerned about swimming and stuff. I've worn gold jewelry for years in the pools & beaches without any concern, but I have seen silver get pitted from the chemicals.
I've worn both white and yellow gold without detriment, so you still have choice of color. :)

Thanks those who posted the links! I'll check out all of them!!!

@Stophle: I'm looking for something modern looking, a pendant which is actually something in real life - lol I don't know if I even make sense (fleur de lis, peace sign, etc).
