Advice on my first LV purchace please!

I think the LV bags are an aquired taste. That being said honestly,they really aren't that pretty and they are just canvas. I just bought (ordered) my first LV and for 2 main reasons, the bag will probably last the rest of my life both quality and style wise and it is iconic, a timeless classic.

Very true, it's kind of like Benz. Their cars' quality hasn't been what it used to be, but it's such a symbol and their designs are still a-okay (that is, if you ignore the debacles known as b class and r class !).

Sorry to bump up such an old topic, but just had to comment because I just got a Batignolles Vertical for Christmas from my sister, that wonderful woman. Anyway, I was also bothered at first that it doesn't have a zipper at the top. But it turns out it's not a problem at all, at least not for me, because I'm constantly reaching into my purse for something. So it's quite convenient actually. I either put my wallet in the small zippered compartment inside or at the bottom.

I love the way that the Batignolles Verticle looks...it has shoulder straps and I love the shape...But it doesn't zip at the top! I just wouldn't feel secure.

What do you ladies think of the Cabas Piano? I never see it mentioned on the forum, but I love the fact that it zips. I also love the shape...very classic. I'm an LV virgin, so help me out.

I don't really care for either bag but my mom has the cabas piano and she doesn't like the bag too much. The shoulder straps are always going down and it annoys her. The bag I would recommend for you is the Popincourt Haut. I have that bag and it's really a great bag its roomy, cute, and a little bit cheaper too.

I agree, I have one and it will probably be the only one I will ever have, i'm not that big on them

I love this one...
I myself don´t one a LV jey, but I´m actually concidering getting this one for the first.
I think it´s a good choise for a first LV..
