That is such a gorgeous bag but sadly not my colour. If I'm going metallic it would have to be the gunmetal I think. But thanks for watching out for me, I appreciate it!...Question though, what was the third colour it was made in, do you know?
Update, just saw the third colour, espresso, would kill for it...

I don't remember seeing the gunmetal color ever on the resale market ... the metallic espresso maybe once or twice but yeah, those 2 are super duper yummy~~

I am, in fact, from Vancouver  (well, North Van)...I rarely get downtown, strangely enough, but am going to try for next week and will check out Holts and Nordstrom as well. Thanks re: the cervo hobo thread, I did look at it and the bags looked quite large to me but some of them had a better hang than others so I'm guessing it's just a matter of usage, a lot of ladies post their bags as soon as they get them so I'm assuming in at least some of the photos the bags are new.
We've sold our house and at the end of October I get some "mad money" so I'm exploring my options for at least one new bag...BV is high on the list. Thanks so much for your help!
Hey muchstuff. I was at HR today and they didn't have any Cervo bags at all. The selection was a bit better than the last time I was there, but they had very limited colours. Fairly decent selection of styles (and some seasonal ones) but not everything. No Parachutes, Maxi Venetas, Large Iron bags or Small Rete totes. Have fun when you go!

Hello, Dear! glad to see you here! I have both styles, and both are my best ever bought bags, I am 164 cm and they both are perfect for me. I will ask DH to take pix of me wearing both at the same time so you can compare, IMO, if you like Day (and I know that you actually do), you will love the BV hobo, too! And leather is deerskin, absolutely amazing, though it's different than chevre or lambskin of Bal. Apart from that, one of my BVs is from 2009, and the last one I bought this spring, so they are pretty different at a touch, newer one is still matte and the older one is butter-soft, but that's the only difference, size wise it's almost the same, will do a few pix now

Here they are side by side (with flash) and you can probably see a tad more polished shine on the oldie and yet matt leather on the new one

Here's a comparison (not the best resolution, but prompt :))
Day has square bottom and looks a tad bigger, 'cause BV is rounded and looks softer, both bags are empty, fyr,
If you need more pix, let me know :)

Forgot to mention, in these shots I put a 0.5 l water bottles in each bag, to make them hang naturally, hope this helps you to make a decision and I am looking forward to your posts and reveals in this forum! Good luck! :)
