Thank you for your suggestions........I don't know, I don't really see the issue with it! But I am not against after-market work. I have gotten the same reaction on wanting to add diamonds to the face of my chanel watch-- everyone says i am nuts as it will void the warranty, be risky, etc etc. If I can find a jeweler who has experience doing similar projects, I will move forward with it. So I will suggest the same to you! If you find someone *very good* at working with cartier pieces (sometimes Neiman Marcus will divulge the outside jeweler they use and you can contact them separately under the table) and you don't care that Cartier will never repair/fix it in the future, go for it!
On the other hand, if you can find an amazing jeweler capable of doing this work, you may as well have them make an entirely new bangle to look like a fake Cartier one with the diamonds-- then you can wear both together!
Good luck.![]()
I'd put in my own diamonds if I had a jeweler who's work was reliable...i would assume that jeweler could also handle any repairs needed on the bracelet in the future. I never take my Cartier watch to Cartier for batteries or cleaning anyway, my watch guy does an awesome job at a fraction of the cost
Would love to hear of anyone who did Love bracelet gemstone additions after market...
How did you alter the size?I added diamonds to my JUC bracelet and I also resized it half size up. I don’t really understand why you would care about Cartier polishing, it’s a 5 minute job every jeweler can make. But to tell you the truth, instead of buying new Cartier and then adding diamonds to it, it would make a lot more sense to buy a dupe at the very beginning. Love is super easy to make and you can find amazing copies. I added diamonds to my JUC because both sizes didn’t perfectly fit me, so I made 16.5 for myself, and as it has been already altered, it made sense to add diamonds.
They basically cut the part of the bracelet in half and then added a piece of needed length in between. You can not see it when the bracelet is on hand, but if to compare with an unaltered bracelet, you could see where that part is.How did you alter the size?
