Yes!! There is a small Buccellati franchise at the corner of Ponte Vecchio (the bridge). The jewellery shops are amazing, don't you think? I could have spent all day shopping there if only I had a bottomless bank account.

Sadly, I visited the bridge at night, it's amazing to look at it and see all the shops but they were all closed ! :crybaby::crybaby:

eve - it is gorgeous!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone for your kind compliments. I just received in the mail today a guarantee card, signed by Signore Gianmaria Buccellati himself, accompanied by a handwritten note of thanks from the store owner in Florence. I think he wants me to go back for the matching earrings :p

Wow, I LOVE it. What a beautiful ring!!! I love the idea of something so handmade with such a history to it.

My fiance and I are planning on going to Florence sometime in the next year or so and I'm saving your jewelry shopping suggestions. The last time I was there I was a poor student, but I still got some lovely charms and a pair of handmade earrings for my mom that she constantly gets compliments on!

I hope you find something nice! Florence is a city of artisans, and you'll find lots of handmade jewellery, as well as antique pieces. Ponte Vecchio is lined with jewellery shops, from one end to the other. I swear the bling from the window displays of all the shops must be visible from outer space!
