It's possible the store was the victim of an unscrupulous buyer who returned a fake. I think this scenario is kind of far-fetched though because the bag in the listing is an obvious fake, not one that could get by an SA very easily.

Thank you! I took your advice and ended up contacting ebay- they credited me the difference without opening a claim--very kind!
