The link to the consignment store is not working.
Are you certain the receipt is an authentic NM receipt? Receipts can easily be faked just like bags.
And don't assume that rich people don't buy fakes. If they have no knowledge of what they are buying they can and do.
Your best bet is to post pictures of the bag and receipt in the Authenticate This Balenciaga thread here in the Shopping forum and let some of our experts weigh in.
Lastly, why are you selling it if you are so certain it's fake? Do you want another person to feel the disappointment you are experiencing, or do you plan to disclose it's a replica and sell at a loss in price?
If you paid via credit card, file a dispute with your bank once the bag has been identified as fake/fraudulent.
I didn't know why the link is not working..try to type in in your browser..
The receipt is very old, and has faded, but I can see that the receipt is real.. will post picture later on
I was selling since I was feeling uneasy but partly convinced that this is real, based on the fact that the orig.owner went to Neiman and bought the bag herself.
I thought to myself maybe this is real..but I don't like the fact that it doesn't have all the basic element pertain to balenciaga motorcycle bags (diff't looking bales, rivet and stuff)
I paid by paypal, can I dispute charges thru paypal
Hi balenciagals..I really need help wih my situation.
Okay here we go:
I just bought what would be my very first balenciaga (),a pt ggh 07 in vert gazon through a online consignment store called: www.getsyledbylulu.com (if you go there, you can still see the bag)
I didn't think twice cause I believe this website is legit.
This bag is in new condition and has everything including a NEIMAN MARCUS receipt (with personal info crossed off)
When I got the bag,to my surprise, it was a fake.
-The bales is not oval, but square.
-The rivet looks weird, with one rivet has 4 notches, while the 3 other has 2 notches not in proportion.
-The inside tag doesn't has the black thread across on top.
But, I gotta admit, the leather feels fine, it feels like it's the real thing.
I told the seller about this, and she wanted to confirm with the original owner of the bag because she didn't think and believe the bag was fake.
The original owner claimed that she bought the bag herself at Neiman back in 07 and because she owns a lot of bags, she ended up storing it in the closet.
She also mentioned that I needed to know that items that are being sold in dept. store are different from the items being sold at the original boutique/store.
I thought maybe she's right, considering she owns a lot of designer hhandbags (oh, forgot to tell, she's just plain rich, came from a rich family and rich people just don't have time dealing with fakes) so i thought she's right.
Deep down in my heart (read: GUT) i still have this uneasy feeling about this bag, I thought that balenciaga would never ever change the look of the hardware or even play around with them.
The more I see the bag,the faker it gets.
So, I decided to sell it (I just want to get rid of it, cause of this uneasy feeling).
When I posted on my facebook acct (that's where I'm planning to sell it, and I'm selling it to my peeps back home,Indonesia, because they don't have balenciaga boutique/stores there), of of the independent reseller of balenciaga notice the oddness of the bales and stuff.
I told her the story and she said that Neiman Marcus has had many cases like this, where people buy real stuff but then they try to get their money back by switching the stuff with the fake and returned the fake ones.
because of Neiman Marcus's return policy, as long as there's a receipt, they can return whatever they want.
The sad part is the SA never (double) check the item.
She said her customer has experienced this and even worst, not only with balenciaga bag but also with Chanels!
I was flabbergasted and I believe this is what happen to me.
The original owner of this bag has been buying fake all along and didn't even know it!
The three of us had became victims of this evil, evil crime.
I suddenly remember, there's this website that sells fake balenciaga but with great quality leather that it almost feels like the same thing (can't remember the name of the website, help me ladies)
Now, i presented this problem to the seller of this bag (GSL), and she refused to give me back my money and she went on how I keep going back to this bag being fake while the fact is that this bag is a real deal.
She doesn't want to have anyting to do with this bag anymore now that she already paid the consignee; eventhough I asked her to tell the orig. owner that she was a victim as well and she needs to go back to the Neiman Marcuse store she went on the first place, and meet up with the manager,at least, but the seller still refuse to do it.
She thought that I had agree to keep the bag and suddenly changed my mind and trying to find reasons to get my money back..
I don't know what to do
This is beyond me wanting to get my money bag..this is awful!
I mean, that balenciaga reseller lives on the other side of the world, yet she knows about this case, more than us who live on this country..this must be serious!!!
Somebody needs to tell Neiman that this happens so other people won't be victims..This needs to be stopped!
Now I live on the eastcoast where there are only a couple of Neiman Marcus stores and none of them carry balenciaga.
I so wanted to got there and show them the bag, but I believe the SA are not familiar with the line let alone tell the diff between fakes and real stuff..
HELP!!!!!!
