I’m pretty careful not to make comments regarding authenticity. I’ve had someone claim one of my caribou FBFs was fake simply out of ignorance. It didn’t fit his limited knowledge of Balenciaga but he made it sound convincing enough that some people might believe him. I know we may be right most of the time but it’s not a risk I like to take.
I did see that you can contact them so that might be the best thing to do. But it’s a PITA compared to hitting a report button!

So I got a final verdict from tRR on post #2126 @muchstuff & #2128 @kerryisntreal:

"Thank you for your patience as our team reviewed your concerns regarding the Balenciaga Motocross Classic First (SKU BAL219874).

Please know that, as promised, this item has been reviewed and our team has just shared the following:

"We stand by our original determination. The hardware and overall construction are consistent with the Balenciaga Classic City style. The hardware variations noted by the customer are due to the style. The item in question is a City bag, while the one the customer is referencing is a Town style."

[atlantis1982], I do hope that this allays your concerns about our authenticity process. Do let us know if you have any further questions about this item, as our team is always here to assist."

So they still think it's real. Listed as a First, but now it's a City but crazy me thinks it's a Town. And Bal uses different hardware depending on the style of bag (hence, squared off bales are OK!) :facepalm:

Oh good lord they’re worse than we thought lol. How truly embarrassing for them.

Wonder if this means they’ll relist it again.
