I wonder why?

I think possibly their licensing of Peanuts merchandise is running out.....that's the only thing I can come up with. And if they're sending stuff back to Jax and are no longer going to sell it, the only thing I can think of they can do with the leftovers is destroy them....that's why I said possibly destroy. :nogood: Hopefully, they'll let employees have a chance at the stuff so it's not wasted.

That's nuts!!! I had a similar situation happen to me last year around Christmas.... I was at a local Family Dollar store getting toys for a family that our office adopted and came upon a lot of Lego type toys on the clearance aisle for only a $1. I figured they would make nice stocking stuffers. Well, when I got to the register, the toys rang up for 2 cents and the girl told me that the store wouldn't allow her to sell anything that rings up for under 10 cents and that she would have to throw the toys away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not believe it!

Just last week while at Cracker Barrel, I saw the cutest Easter Bunny cup but when I tried to buy it, the girl informed me that since the straw was missing she would have to "damage it out" then throw it away!!!! She wouldn't even sell it at a discount....WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?

Sadly damaging something out rather than selling at a bigger discount is pretty common. I bought a final sale top that arrived damaged but still wearable. I told them I would keep the top if they would give me a bigger discount. They asked me to ship it back. At their expense.
