Some people are just about logos. They don't care about quality materials so they buy cheap fake bags with logos on it.

Besides the bags looking horrible , the human rights abuses in China are horrendous . I try to not buy anything made in China if I can help it , it's not easy though .

I think a big play that comes into this is where the person lives. I've never been into fakes, but I see girls that buy fakes because no one knows about those brands where they live so it doesn't matter. I see people who wear fakes so well, that I have no idea it's fake until they tell me.
