I have reported this and eBay send back their report saying nothing is wrong with the bag. 🙄🤨

Lets face it...as long these sites are making a profit off fakes & without penalty, they just don't care.
Etsy used to have (I don't know if it still does) a statement that everything sold was either vintage or hand-made, & then you see all the obvious Chinese made junk en masse. They don't care.

Zipper pull gives it away at first glance, I’m looking like uh um something doesn’t look quite right here…
there’s a YouTube video, I’ll find it and post. I’m like alrighty then. She explains that she can’t afford the real Florentine dooney satchel. I get that. Some people can’t/don’t have the $$$. no issues there
my issue is the sellers of these fake 💩 bags charging $150-$350+ and leading the buyer to believe it’s a genuine Dooney and Bourke Florentine bag, putting all the Dooney macys exclusive tag on it…

Hello, did you post the YouTube video? I think I may have gotten a fake mini Florentine satchel from the Dooney and Bourke website. The leather smells fake. I have a micro Florentine satchel as well as a pochette and they smell like real leather.

From your pic your mini is real. Just a different texture of leather. All Florentine don’t smell the same. Some smell stronger than others. Some have an undercurrent of maybe the dyes that were used. My Ivy mini smells different from the large flo navy satchel. I bought both from the dooney and Bourke store near me.
my Ivy mini patch is a little low in placement In My opinion. I don’t have a micro yet.
Different colors, I guess as a part of the dying process, smell and feel different. Sometimes the lesther feels thinner or thicker.
can you post pics of your chestnut micro and go over agai. The differences that you feel your mini is fake please and thank you.

Thank you so much. I feel a little better now, but there is two more things that bother me -- the off white and black tags in my chestnut micro is on the same side, but the tags in the mini natural are on opposite sides and it says "assembled Mexico".

Most of the bags are made in Vietnam, micro chestnut. They do have factories in Mexico and other places hence the different positioning. If you take pics of the tags, positioning inside of the 2 bags and post them in the authentication forum here, I’m sure they can tell you they are real, and put your mind at ease. Any questions about authenticity they can answer. They are very knowledgeable and will respond.

the letter in front of the numbers on the tag correspon with the country which it was made. They have a list of the country codes in the authentication forum. Damn shame the bags are no longer made in the USA.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever had a tag like this. I have had Dooney and Bourke bags since high school and that was over 20 years ago and just recently started buying off 2nd sites and never had a problem until now.

I agree.... the authentication forum looks at more than just the tag. They are really helpful. Just check to see what king of info/pictures they want you to post.

Kim, I saw your post in the authentication thread. Since I'm not qualified to authenticate
I'm posting my input here....
The Flynn has strappy longer 'handles', like the ones in your picture.
The Barlow and Brenna have shorter rolled handles and a detachable
strap.

I can't tell if your bag is a smaller or larger Flynn.... that would depend
on the measurements. But based on the handles, the bag is a Flynn....
not a Barlow or Brenna. I also can't address authenticity...I'm just a long
time collector, but not an expert.

The Barlow, Brenna, and Flynn are all in the same family and have similar
design elements...3 compartments with a
ruffled front and back design. The Barlow and Brenna are rectangular, while the
Flynn design is wider across the top than at the base.
