Is she modeling the satchel or the tote? I ordered the black tote from Nordstrom about 2 weeks ago and then came home and read Nordies reviews on it and they were horrible and I got scared and cancelled my order. I really like it on her though. I have been looking at Mulberry Bayswater and Alexa bags and came very close to buying one yesterday. Then I talked to my parents and they are having some financial issues and I think I will forgo the expensive Mulberry purchase right now so that I can help them out. I just can't justify spending $1200 on a bag when they need help. :nogood:

I would love to hear everyone's reviews on this bag! The Nordies reviews said the leather felt cheap, the bag was hard to get into, and the inner pockets were too narrow to fit anything. Can anyone tell me if that is all true? :shrugs:

TIA!!

I find how leather feels is so subjective. I have my MK Hamilton sitting right next to me. There are different kinds of leather for different purposes. My purple grommet bag is a soft smooshy thick leather which works for that bag because that bag is a hobo and the whole idea of a hobo is a squishy bag that doesn't have a lot of structure. A lot of the time I find that this is the only leather that many people seems to feel is good quality. But that kind of leather doesn't work on all kinds of bags.

The Hamilton is a satchel and it needs structure or else it would be a hot mess - if this bag was made of soft smooshy leather it would look stupid because it needs structure not slouch.

So this leather is stiffer and harder to help the bag retain it's shape. I think a lot of people assume because the leather isn't all smooshy that means it's cheap. NOT TRUE.

I love this bag because it doesn't have to be babied and it's what I refer to as bullet-proof. I don't need to worry about rain, scratches, etc. because it's a much hardier leather.

My ID chain showed in my signature is a beautiful soft, delicate leather. That bag is more of a "statement" piece to me and I love it and it's stunning, but nowhere near as bulletproof as my Hamilton.

As far as the pockets are concerned = they are meant to carry things like keys and cell phones and they fit those items perfectly, so I don't know what the reviewer of this bag had up their butt. :p Maybe they were a bag snob and only like bags that were in the thousands of dollars and everything else is inferior. There are lots of those out there.

Whew, OK, I think I made my point. :smile1:

LOL. Thanks, Crissy! I guess I just got scared because 6 out of 6 reviews were not favorable but I always forget that I have no idea what other bags these ladies are used to buying that may have $1000+ price tags!

I happened to look online at Michael Kors.com and saw that the new totes have a chain in the top handle as well! Very classy! Anyone have this yet?

I didn't want to pay FP but I might for this in black! I really like the look of it!!! :)
