Wait until tomorrow and run to your closest Coach and pick up a bottle of conditioner.
And don't freak when the Coach lotion darkens the leather - it will go away when it's dry. You can try a small patch on the underside of an area first to make sure you'll be happy with it. No more freakin' allowed.

queenie - I haven't had to condition my 49 sq mi bags yet. I think some conditioners can defintely darken the leather. I think these products are what is recommended for leather like this that can darken with conditioning and fade with sun exposure. I have used this conditioner on other bags that darken. You just spray a light mist on and they're good to go.

If the dark spot was oil I think dry cornstarch on the spot and waiting is what she recommends. Just remember to use a light hand and always try out the product on a hidden spot or the leather scrap tags they make.
