Ame, I was lucky enough to find a local Vatche authorized dealer nearby who can order the Swan and set it for me. He said the order typically takes 2 weeks and the most he had waited was 3 weeks. I have a month before our wedding anniversary so if I order the Vatche on Tuesday, there shouldn't be a a problem. I TRULY hope your experience is *NOTHING* like mine with them! The settings are fantastically beautiful but holy crap was that experience a disaster.

I can't wait to see it!

Thanks everyone! Whoops, I have considered custom. The side profile of the swan is beautiful but it is not special from the top. The Varna on the other hand is gorgeous but I think the feature stone is like a 5ct so the thick band is going to look too big for my stone. The band is going to have to be done much smaller so it would be proportionate, If they can't accomodate, I would have to order a custom setting. :tender:

Thanks Contessa!! Actually I have already thought about what to get for our 10th year anniversary. A mikimoto south sea pearl strand would be perfect for a 40 yr old woman imo :p

A little update, I saw the Varna in person and it is beyond gorgeous. All the pave on the prongs are done so beautifully and so delicately. I saw the actual ring with a 1.25 center stone and I was worried about the shank being too chunky but this is not the case at all. Plus they are going to custom make mine to fit my stone and they promised to keep the shank the same size so it would look even slimmer with my stone. I just couldn't resist ordering it on the spot. Yikes... so much money and again the setting is over budget but this is definitely my dream ring and I love that Varna is so exclusive. Oh my god, now I know how you ladies felt when you were waiting for the ring of your dreams :tender:

On a side note, I agree that cushion brilliants in a good size with great specs are very difficult to come by. It takes patience and the right jeweler to source them for you. Maybe you can start looking now for your next big anniversary?

Great idea wendy and I sure hope so but don't think I would be buying another diamond anytime soon :wlae:I am getting the ring of my dreams so I am not gonna be greedy :happydance:
