3 stone Ring, or Halo Setting?

What about cushion with princess cut sidestones and a pave band???

I would not find that attractive but I am not a fan of princesses with anything other than Princesses. I think Cushions look best alone or in haloes OR with two other cushions. Princesses are just a different facet than a Cushion and I personally don't find that appealing.

But that is MY opinion and I am not the one wearing it!

I agree with this. I think if you were to do a 3 stone setting, then you should use cushion cuts for the side stones.

I have a .97 asscher in a halo-ish setting and I think it looks beautiful. I've never liked 3 stone rings because I feel like a more horizontal presence on my finger makes them look shorter and fatter than they are (similar to the look of a band ring by itself).

So my vote would be for a halo. :smile1:

Personally, I think around 1 carat stone is a good size for a halo setting. Any size will do. But, if the center is a huge stone, it might be too bling for every day wear. (However, it depends on your life style, of course!)

I love a 3-stone ring and looked for it and tried it on, but as Stophle writes, a round look ring looked better on my hand. What's more, it is difficult to find matching wedding bands! But, I still love a 3-stone ring!:p

My dream ring is a cushion cut in a halo setting. I think they're absolutely stunning! I love rings where the focus is on the center stone. I feel like 3 stone rings take the emphasis off the center stone and from far away it looks like one big horizontal stone.

Ok, well I did end up going with 3 stone. but I have been doubting and wondering if I should have gone with a halo setting but many seem to agree on the 3 stone, so thats a good thing. How do u post pics here, I can put one up....
