Hi Lovelies!

For our 10 year wedding anniversary, I'm going to be upgrading my engagement ring. I can't decide between getting a 3.8 carat round brilliant classic solitaire or a 2.5 carat center stone Tiffany Soleste cushion cut double halo? If I go with the solitaire I could get a bigger stone because I wouldn't be getting a Tiffany, but I love the look of the Tiffany Soleste and with the double halo it does look substantial. Here are some sample pics of the two styles I'm deciding between.

Thanks for your input!

There is nothing like a classic solitaire. I think Halos are a fad, as beautiful as they may be.

That solitaire is stunning. I’m not a fan of halos, they have become so so popular that I wonder if they will be dated at some point. So i have a bias. But they are both beautiful. Can’t go wrong.

I agree ... the halos are still pretty popular but definitely at some point they will look dated.

Solitare for sure and make sure it’s an excellent cut. If you really love the halo look in another few years you could reset your solitare in a custom design rather than something as common as Tiffany.

I’m going against the majority. I love the look of that halo ring. It is certainly substantial! Just stunning.

Like what others have mentioned, I too think that the halo is very in right now, so I'm wondering if this style would look dated at some point down the road. On the other hand, the solitaire is timeless. I'm not a fan of halos because it takes away from the beauty of the main stone or hides the size of it.
