Can you explained "touched"? Also, how old is the bag? Will Hermes still give it a spa treatment then? Thankyou
perlerare, you do so much on this thread you certainly can't feel bad about one you didn't get to!
while i'm truly sorry that anyone is in the position of having to deal with a fake, i respond to that request that i did not believe it was authentic.
i can only hope that this will highlight the dangers of purchasing without a green light and save others from ending up in a similar predicament.

Meloned, your bag looks authentic to me.
Looks like it is a HAC, from the travel line. Taurillon Clemence in Sable color...Typical brass hardware. Very unpractical bag IMHO. If you are not a tall and super built man, you won't be able to carry it !

But yes, nobody needs to go through this kind of panic and anxiety--I certainly should have heeded Dressage Queen's opinion stating that she would not buy the bag herself.
I did NOT know that about the clochette! Good to know. HOnestly, I'm so embarrassed that my SA and craftsperson know about this. That should be the least of my worries, I guess, but I am deliberately not thinking about the chunk of money that I am out at this moment. Much more distressing to imagine not getting my cash back.

The bag is from 1988.
It was recolored at the corner that is seen on picture. I am sure Hermes will take it for a service.

that's actually one of the things i was wondering whether had changed when i said it didn't look right but i had never seen a 25cm of that age ~ i knew none of mine had ever had one, but none was as old as this and hermes does modify designs from time to time (e.g., the lock on the picotin).
i'm truly sorry this happened to you ~ hope your credit card will stand behind you on this.
