28 Kelly-can it be a casual bag?

Good morning all! I'm considering a gold 28 kelly, but I'm wondering: is a 28 more of a dressy/evening bag? I'm more of a casual girl, but I want something that can go both ways! TIA for your opinions (and pics if you want to share!)!!!!

Yes it can, especially in Rotourne (inside stitch). Having said that, even as a Sellier (and in a smooth skin like Box), it can be dressed down. IMO, it's all in the dressing and attitude!

I second this. And yes, Retourne.

If the Kelly is a Sellier, have it in a fun colour ....

Retourne - you see the piping but don't see the stitching running along the exterior of the Kelly. And gorgeous Kelly, by the way ....

The 28 retourne gold kelly can definitely be used for both casual and evening. I used to own a cyclamen retourne 28 kelly and I used it mainly during the day, along with a few summer weddings. As others have said, it's how you sport it.
I think gold is lovely-- I hope you get it =D

I was away for 5 weeks in West Palm Beach and only had with me ONE BAG (gasp). I took my red 28cm Rouge VIF Kelly and I used it casually the whole time! It is a retourne Kelly in box leather with gold HW. I love 28cm Kellys. They are so versatile.

May I ask how tall you are Luccibag? I'm 5'5 and I'm hoping its not too small for my frame. I've never held one IRL, so its hard to tell from pics!

These have been posted before and I know this is black (not gold) but it is a 28 Kelly and Nicky is fairly tall and she looks great carrying this both casual and a bit more dressy. This can be a young and fun bag~
