Agree! That’s crazy. I guess the only option is to either get this style in lambskin which I’m unsure of or I just choose something else.

That’s what I would recommend. I have this bag in pink and I can tell you it’s not life changing or anything. I think you can find something comparable without spending that much (6-7k)
I saw Fashionphile has lambskin black with ghw mini rect with handle for 6000 plus

I personally don't like the style of mini with top handle very much. It's not a disaster, but to me it will always feel like the "classic style slapped with an extra handle". I can see the practicality of having handle, but I'd prefer to buy a handle bag where the handle is part of the original design (kelly, lady dior, coco handle etc.)
Sadly, I think Chanel is cashing in on this type of "variety" on older designs - there will also be boy with top handle, which really doesn't work imo.

Interesting to read this thread and how many people dislike this style. I've been a huge fan actually, because the handle is much more tasteful in my opinion than the Coco Handle. I find the latter quite odd looking to be honest...But it's all personal, beauty is in the eye of the beholder
