I wish there was more color variance on the flap, but I like the bottom. Are you able to ask the SA for another photo of the same bag from different angle or lighting?
I loved the runway version but decided not to purchase it after I had seen the irl pictures posted here and on IG. These are just 2 different bags imho.
The hardware is different ( antique gold vs shiny gold), leather is different ( smooth metallic vs crumbled metallic) and most importantly the colour is different ( the irl photos all looked washed out)

Based on shopping thread, colors vary from bag to bag. I think u just have to be lucky to get the right one.
Sometimes metallic could be hard to photograph, Maybe that is not giving off the right visual either?

I'm not too surprised the bags are different, the runway models tends to be better quality - you're showcasing your collection so it should be the best quality on display. Whereas the mass produce versions usually will not be the same quality as the runway versions. Kind of like when you look at a demo or display, it tends to be better quality to entice you and to withstand all the touching/testing imo.

It's sooo gorgeous on the runway, but not in reality. I would definitely pass! I feel that on the runway photo, the leather is similar to metallic reissue that they had in the past.
I really love this bag and want to get one in mini size. It's so pretty 
However, I will probably ask SA to show me 2-3 bags so I can choose the best variation (buying remotely) or go pick one in the store myself. So far, I've seen about 3 different bags and they all don't have enough mix of colors (mostly just gold or pink). I highly doubt that both options are going to work especially in the current COVID-19

Not super on topic, but I think more people would like this bag if it was a classic mini instead of the reissue style - IMO you'll see this on resale sites at a discount in a couple years (if that matters to you and you would plan to resell it later on).
Personally I think it's really cool and would get it if I was certain of the color way/had a place for it in my wardrobe. Sadly, I know I wouldn't be able to work this into my wardrobe. Please post pics if you do get it!

Chanel metallic leather is famous for rubbing off/ peeling. I am sure this particular bag is going to be even worse given how they made the leather in a “dry and crumbled” finish. You’ve made a good decision.

Yes my Neiman Marcus SA actually told me today that she honestly doesn’t recommended me to buy this cause the wear and tear will be so significant based on her experience of this material and finish....also that she has gone through at least 3-4 of this bag and just can’t find a really good looking one for me ..... I think I have decided to pass at this point
