April 1st is really making me laugh today with the names and cheering me up!

I’ve just found out that one of our close family friends who I’ve known since I was a child just passed away from a brain tumour(which was also what my late Aunt died from)- my Dad is lying down , so I think he’s taking it very badly.

I hope my day out tomorrow takes my mind off everything although I do feel a bit guilty about going out..although my sister is still attending football matches and went to the theatre for her birthday last month.

I bet your bedding smells wonderful. We have a clothesline in the yard. I like to dry the bed sheets on it. If I put them in the dryer, they tie up in balls and don't dry well. Even though we live in a place where it doesn't rain a lot, it still is a challenge certain times of the year to find a time when I can hang laundry outside. There have been times when I've hung out the rest of the laundry. Towels and cotton knits come out stiff and rough. We get spoiled by using the dryer. Sometimes I'll put line dried laundry in the dryer for a few minutes to soften it up.

I can't even imagine living without a refrigerator. It's funny your cat has one! We don't like grocery shopping so do it as infrequently as possible. We usually buy at least a week's worth of groceries at a time.

That's wonderful you have zero food waste. I wish we could say the same. We do better than most of our neighbors on how much we throw away every week, judging by how full the trash cans are.

Our lavender is a favourite with bees in Summer and is brilliant for laundry. Even after the flowers have gone the fragrance is in the stems and leaves. I know what you mean with towels.

I actually hate fridge cold food anyway. I'll even wait until cold food is room temperature bought from the supermarket. If food that needs to be cold is raw, I just have to decide whether I need to cook it straight away or freeze. I never buy fresh or defrost anything that may need to be kept in a fridge.

Our cat has his own mini fridge because of as well as his dry food he has fresh everyday. I'm careful with his little bits of raw/cooked chicken or fish he doesn't finish in one go. Not that he would touch anything that was not absolutely fresh anyway, he is very fussy, just in case.

Listen to your heart with respect to retirement and bags :)

Go slow. You have plenty of time and options :) Nothing has to be forever, and you can always change course. (DH and I retired early, and he still serves on boards and mentors entrepreneurs in his field)

And. Agree with @dcooney4 . Take Joy :D

@papertiger, if your gut is telling you that the moment has passed for a yellow bag, then it probably has ;) The beach is more appealing than the grocery lol

I carried 9 bags in March.

We've been walking every day and I've been doing the exercises the PT recommended three times a week.

I think sales of my items have picked up a bit because a lot of US sellers are dropping out due to tax reporting that goes into effect this year.

My new bag arrived today. Ta-da!

She's big! The condition is OK. There are a few little nicks on one side ( disclosed ) that seem to be a cat's work and some more all over they missed to disclose. Nothing some leather glue and paint won't fix, so I'm happy, especially considering the price.
(I was shocked to see the prices in the few Vestiaire Collective listings I found for Leather Plisse bags.)
The leather is extremely soft, even softer than what was used for the Karenina. I think it's comparable to the leather they used for the Serpeant bag.
