I'm really wavering. I want a full size speedy but don't like metal corners. And I use my Pochette Accessories the most, so I should get one in black or white MC.

I wanted a carryall 45 (white)/ 50 (black) for traveling but I cannot carry heavy stuff anymore so I use my Pegase.

What are items on your list? I'm curious what others are getting.
I love the Speedy 25 in white and the Alma and the East West Trouville, but I will pass an them as they are to small for my daily use and for that I won‘t reach to them because of the size just too expensive. But they are really really cute.
Instead I opted for some small things I can use and see daily: the small panda chain charm, the panda bandeau (I love the panda!) and the white MC Charlotte pencil case.

I love the east/west on the go in black MC and my hopes are high because I see approximately no body talking about it 😂

I saw this and gasped! I’ve been wanting one but I know the price for this will probably make me take pause.

If I can’t get a cherry blossom speedy and if I can’t get anything from my multicolor list then it might be the one thing I’ll have to consider.
They are already being a bit cheeky with the simpler MC item prices… I see them getting quite cheeky with this one. Whether I’m in trouble or not will depend on what the inside of it looks like… and also on what will be on offer for cherries… hope we get a chance soon! And that you get your MC items too!

The pricing on much of the multicolor stuff already had me audit my list. Sure, I can afford them but honestly they’ve really pushed the limit on what a lot of this is worth to me. And had me evaluating wants versus needs.

IMHO, I think the only piece that comes somewhat close to being worth the price is the white multicolor side trunk.

But I’m over the moon about Cherry Blossom so my feelings towards those pieces will be very different and I expect I will lose my mind and buy as much as I can despite the price.

The white sidetrunk is so gorgeous, but so impracticable lol I’m opting for black MC because I want the bag to look new for longer

The MC line is just too expensive for LV canvas, and I've been wandering towards Hermes and Chanel lately, with no intention of coming back except maybe to add a multicolor piece,....just because of nostalgia.

I really, really like the cherry line. So until I see the specs and the pricing, how can I make an informed decision?

I have all I want for the monogram collection. So something really needs to jump out and scream my name.

Good idea as all white color bags will yellow over time. Not quickly but in a few years.
Yeah I think the black is a little more versatile too in terms of wear. I keep seeing comments on the prices, it’s about a $500-$600 (generally speaking on the lower level bags, the speedys and neverfulls I’m not sure) markup on most of the MC pieces vs their regular counterparts. Given the hype and nostalgia around this I actually think that’s fair. I think it would be kind of weird if they were priced identically, also assuming Takashi Murakami gets a cut of the revenue as well so it seems pretty reasonable to me. I was excited there were bags priced under 4K to be honest I thought I was going to get priced out. I also don’t see the takashi Murakami collab as the same as normal LV canvas at all, I think it’s a lot more elevated? Interesting? Not sure of the word I want to use here lol but it’s definitely cooler than normal monogram.

It's the same guy that did the Hublot flower watches?

Is this the quintessential Murakami design?

I still suspect a lot of this is about manufacturing a demand, with SA's being ordered to parrot the company line.

LV would not be announcing and celebrating release via social media and on their app with a reminder to save the date, if most people would not get a piece, unless of course it's about attempting to regain some credibility as a truly luxury brand, and pretend their pieces are scarce and only reserved for VIPs.

I imagine that some pieces like the trunks are scarce, but with the global downturn and lower profit margins, this release is meant to be a return to fortunes over a period when trading is traditionally very difficult.

I'm pretty certain that I'm going to be able to secure what I want, but despite loving the white MC, also think what will be, will be.

The good thing about the way it's been handled is that it's likely stopped many customers from being pressured/rushed into spending money because of FOMO.

This is why many countries have breathing room written into contract laws about certain purchases.

I've gone from super eager to buy all of the things, to well, whatever, it would be nice, but not going to sweat it and feeling more inclined to spend the money I would have spent over Christmas.
They turned me off with this "scarcity" mindset. They aren't Hermes and I loved(d) them for that. I have no desire to compete or worry about getting my hands on a re-imagined line from over 20+ years ago that I have an original piece of that will probably be far higher quality than what they are pumping out now. I hope people are able to get what they want but I'm over luxury houses doing this stuff. Luxury was so much more fun 10+ years ago. I would love a cherry blossom keep all but given the MC keep all is supposedly gone, I'm guessing that one will be too and I'm not a VIC.

I agree with your thoughts on pricing. Most of the items I’m interested in are about 30% more than the price in regular monogram. To me, that’s a price I’m willing to pay for the design and nostalgia. I fell in love with this collection years ago and was not in the position to purchase designer bags then. I started my designer bag collection a few years ago and had vintage MC on my “must buy” list, but I could never quite pull the trigger to buy one. So now I’m excited to (hopefully) get one of my own straight from the store and I am willing to pay more for that opportunity!

Sorry if this has been asked before, however does anyone know if its possible to pre-order without a purchase history? I'm not a big LV fan, so I've never shopped there, but I've been eyeing one or two of the multicolor silk scarves 👀 (And maybe some of the dog accessories if I'm feeling extra haha)
