Nomination usually is but it depends on how popular the pieces end up being… if no one wants them they’ll make them more widely available.
Did your CA share pricing with you? I’m trying to get an idea of how much the coffret joaillerie is.
So many comments online about this drop being childish n tacky… I wonder if it’s coming from sour grapes who can’t afford it? Or is this a real sentiment. What do u guys think?
€8000 EUR — not sure what price is looking like in other regions but should give you a ballpark.
I don’t think it’s childish and tacky. But I can see how some might call it that. It has a very youthful feel. But it’s been done before and this is the anniversary release and likely people simply didn’t like it the first time or don’t remember it from the first time.
At the end of the day it’s not what you wear but how you wear it. And for some they might not feel comfortable with these items.
Just today I was looking at the sneakers and realizing there is no way I could pull those off. And I am Gen X and have a pretty quirky and sometimes youthful style. And I have cherry blossom tattoos so my opinion might be skewed. But… To me they look like kids shoes. But there are plenty of people who can rock them and they’ll look perfect and not at all like kids shoes.
I suppose there are some who tell themselves they don’t like it because they can’t get something for any number of reasons. But that’s their personal psychology to help them not feel FOMO.
They’re definitely not everyday bags for most people.
And personally I don’t care much about what others think of what I wear. If it makes me happy and I like it, that’s all that matters.

Hahaha yeah! All the stuff he's been working on over the last few years is coming to fruition this year. A few new art pieces coming soon too - i think another exhibit as well.

No. Not childish and tacky, I just feel in general I'm too old for this collection. The multicolors and the superflat flowers are more "age giving". I feel like I can rock the first drop, but not really the second one.
In truth, I'm waiting for the cerise collection. But best of luck to anyone eyeing this collection. I heard volume is very, very small. So you're fighting scarcity again. LV loves to play games. I wonder if I'll even see any cherry blossom items in store, or are they all sold out to VVIC already???
So i made a connection with a CA in Miami design district when i went In December (I live in north Florida for reference and have two regular CA’s where I live), and I’m wondering if she’ll be able to help me when the collection actually launches ☹️ especially since I don’t live near that store lol.

I messaged my CA in design district and he still has no info, im waiting for him to get back to me about the collection. My CA from another store has been more helpful actually. But i was told they can’t help with orders that we’re basically on our own on launch day to order online.
