2025 Murakami Cherry Blossom Line

I've gleaned, based on the main Murakami thread, that depending on which country you're in and who your CA is, some were able to pre-order prior to 1/3/25 with no required spend threshold. Some got very lucky on the pre-ordering front and either had CAs who ignored the tier guidelines, or maybe they were in a country with more relaxed rules.

However, in the U.S., it seems like the main rule, which most CAs seemed to follow, was that there would be 3 tiers for pre-ordering prior to 1/3/25: The earliest date, in December 2024, was for prestige clients ($100,000). Then $50,000 VVIC and then $25,000 VIC. On 1/3 ordering became open to everyone.
Do you mean to be a VIC in the US, you need to be spending $20k annually?

Guys some advice needed! My friend is thinking of letting go of her pochette acc cherry blossom in the brown mono with pink flowers from 2003 and l am thinking maybe l should buy it  l don´t have anything from this original collection and l am so tempted to get it. l would get it for 700 usd and it is in beautiful condition. It would be more of a collectible item for sure then something l would use all the time. You think l should get it?

I don’t think we have heard what is making you hesitate in the above? Equally I’m not sure I am hearing the love either? Only get it IF you LOVE it.

Well l think what is making me hesitate is that it would be more of a collectible item, something to admire and have sitting pretty on the shelf rather then something l´d get a lot of use out of. But it is beautiful  l am somewhat conflicted as you can hear

I think take the collectible out of it. Ask yourself would you like a cute limited edition thing sitting on the shelf to enjoy? Yes or No. Ask yourself would you like a cute little Pochette that gets good use? Yes or No. Then look at her bag and see what category it falls under for you personally but remember you already gave a yes or no answer. My gut for some reason is saying no. But I would suggest you use your own inner compass. I think you know the answer already!

Thank you so much, very much appriciate your thoughts :flowers:

Lol! I have and love the Boulogne! It fits about as much as a speedy 20 but is lighter even with the chain and strap attached (which I also love using on all my other bags). If I didn’t already have one I would seriously consider getting the cherry blossom version because I think for the price point it’s totally worth it. May the force be with you if you decide to gather your energy for another TM round. :flowers:
Yes, I concur. The Boulogne is the perfect size for me. It holds a little more than the Pochette Metis simply because it doesn't have the middle divider. It holds your essentials and a little more.... Also it's a hole, but a wide hole so you can see inside your bag very easily and I like the zippers to keep things from falling out.

The speedy 20 and the 25 are my favorite designs/ sizes. But the Boulogne is just so practical and looks great crossbody AND shoulder carry. So if I were you I would seriously consider the Boulogne for the Cherry Blossom drop.

I just finished saying I won't have the energy for this and then here I am, asking about all of this.

Does anyone own the Boulogne? How is the size? I'm a big bag kind of girl and I'm wondering if the Boulogne is efficiently laid out. For example, I love the LV Pochette Metis because despite what I consider its compact size (again, big bag kind of girl), it stores so much. and does so in my opinion efficiently.

How is the Boulogne when it comes to stashing essentials plus some? TIA.

I'm a big bag girl but I find the Boulogne fits my essentials well but what bugs me is the bag shape so I need to be mindful of what I'm putting in it (tall things only fit on the sides of the bag, it can be a struggle sometimes but maybe that's just me). I still love mine though! I'm debating on getting another but my CA says one's enough (I have the Kusama one). :giggle:

Thank you! I love the Speedy silhouette, so it's great to know that you love those Speedys and the Boulogne too.

That's so cool that you have the Kusama Boulogne!

Question for you both and others -- what insert, if any do you use for this bag? I usually get my inserts from Samorga...

Yeah, the Boulogne is more east-west style, but more classic and less edgy. It suits more ppl. If you have the Kusama one, yes, I'd tell you to skip it this time.

For anyone contemplating ordering CB. I suggest you get both the speedy 25 and the Boulogne because I heard production is VERY limited, so you'd be lucky if you get one bag. If you get both, at least you can check out which one you prefer in person and return the other. That would be my strategy.

I'm still hoping for a multicolor restock, but if it doesn't happen, it's okay. But I'm skipping the CB because it's too youthful for me. I might consider the cerise one, but I don't know. Hate playing LV games.

The more I wait the less excited I am about this. I haven't even gotten any of my MC pre-orders lol

But maybe I'll get excited again when WE SEE THE BETTER QUALITY PHOTOS IF THEY EVER COME OUT!
Right!? Week after week of blurry upon blurry ‘leaks’ have only made me resent the whole situation, and therefore the product, even more 🤦
