2025 Murakami Cherry Blossom Line

I have a lot of wallets and cardholders too so I resisted SLGs for the mc preorder then fomo hit after launch so I added 2 more

And since I got 2, well then I need the victorine wallet and cardholder from the cherry blossom collection

I was at an event this weekend with some folks from LV corporate. Apparently blossoms is going to be very very limited, while cherries will have more availability.

This is sobering news because I was hoping for a slightly easier time for the cherry blossoms drop compared to this first drop. And I have no desire to chase after the cerises pieces.

Were you able to get a sense if they will actually be releasing product right away for the cherry blossoms or if anyone who is actually able to order will need to wait up to six to 12 weeks (or more) after paying to actually get the items? I honestly don't know if I have the energy for that again.

Right! I’m not interested in having to struggle to drop this much money. I went to the pop up in NYC on day 3 just cause I really wanted to see the build out and wanted to try my luck on the vending machine. The store was literally sold out and all they had were backpacks in stock! This particular pop up ended up closing early! Like how do you not have enough stock to sustain a pop up location for the duration of the pop up! I work in retail corporate and I get buying or making enough with the intent to sell out and create demand but I think they are really selling themselves short.

I just finished saying I won't have the energy for this and then here I am, asking about all of this.

Does anyone own the Boulogne? How is the size? I'm a big bag kind of girl and I'm wondering if the Boulogne is efficiently laid out. For example, I love the LV Pochette Metis because despite what I consider its compact size (again, big bag kind of girl), it stores so much. and does so in my opinion efficiently.

How is the Boulogne when it comes to stashing essentials plus some? TIA.

Lol! I have and love the Boulogne! It fits about as much as a speedy 20 but is lighter even with the chain and strap attached (which I also love using on all my other bags). If I didn’t already have one I would seriously consider getting the cherry blossom version because I think for the price point it’s totally worth it. May the force be with you if you decide to gather your energy for another TM round.

With the MC drop it depended on location. In the USA the pre orders where tiered and very strict. I live in a small country in Europe and could just pre order what I wanted, I'm not VIC but am a loyal well spending client for years with the same SA. Not sure about this round tho, I did hear there where limits set for the amount of items you can pre order but lets see. The items seem to be very limited from what I read online.

I've gleaned, based on the main Murakami thread, that depending on which country you're in and who your CA is, some were able to pre-order prior to 1/3/25 with no required spend threshold. Some got very lucky on the pre-ordering front and either had CAs who ignored the tier guidelines, or maybe they were in a country with more relaxed rules.

However, in the U.S., it seems like the main rule, which most CAs seemed to follow, was that there would be 3 tiers for pre-ordering prior to 1/3/25: The earliest date, in December 2024, was for prestige clients ($100,000). Then $50,000 VVIC and then $25,000 VIC. On 1/3 ordering became open to everyone.

Thank you for this info! The comparison to what a Speedy 20 can hold is so helpful. I do also love the chain option -- I could see using that on my black pochette metis too, for example.

Given where my bank account stands, maybe it's best if the force does not return to me in time for this launch.
