I don't know. I think perhaps she finally realized she's not the center of attention anymore? But seriously, she still looks great, should have stuck with the theme, but.....maybe something got in the way of personal life and she's just not into it. We, women, do this when personal matters happens.....

Heidi is gorgeous whatever she wears, but this isn't a night out at an Off-Broadway experimental play. She made herself look conspicuous by how underdressed she is. It's literally made you guess she's having 'a moment'. Many came dressed as though going to a church wedding, but she deliberately put on her least impressive pretty dress. I can hear her say (as she often did) a la Project Runway to a contestant "Where's the sexy in that?".

I think @bag-princess is right. If something personal was afoot, she should have phoned in sick. This is not a wedding or a friends birthday, she didn't have to go.

I think the theme was OK but also problematical. 'Superfine' defiantly and definitely puts the idea of the urban Black dandy centre-stage. Mr. Pharrell Williams, he once of one of Blurred Lines was first in line to be interviewed by Vogue even ahead of 'Mz d' Winter'.

The fact that many of the superfinest dressers in the '60s and '70s funded their outfits on the backs of exploiting their sisters' bodies is obviously not only forgotten in Black History Month but written out of Black history altogether. Sadly, this is not just historical.

Some of the guests had a real problem navigating the balance of the theme IMO. Some guests look like they're going to a church wedding and some even like they were ready to wait tables once inside. The more opulent the more it worked, but even some of those that looked good as photo-ops were not fashion, not even Mardi Gras camp, more beaded straitjackets.

Of the men, Coleman Domingo in Valentino in just one of his outfits.

Of the women, there were a lot of New Orleans brothel Madames, as well as cross-dressing gangsters.

You may hate me, but my favourite was KK flouting the virtue-signalling rules head-to-toe in Home Hearts alligator (Miley only went half the way in Alaĩa). There's something about a dragon-lady.

I don’t know about this take.
This sounds diminutive and other things.

Don’t know if you follow ladiesofmadisonave on Instagram. March 31 he had an interview/post about Dandyism. (I’m not affiliated with the account but love it).

I haven't seen anything about this other than this thread but from what was shared here, I personally found these looks the most interesting (no maven here, just my humble opinion) And let's face it, it would be hard for Lewis Hamilton to look bad in anything! I agree Heidi Klum's look super basic and surprising she didn't put in more effort for the Met Gala, especially if she hasn't attended this event in over a decade. She's definitely "jumped the shark". Lol

I love Halle but she doesn't look like her beautiful self here....and I don't like the way her privates are almost exposed

I didn't recognise her at all. Has she had some work done to her face, or it's just the hairstyle and hat?

The outfit is unnecessary, she doesn't need to expose herself like that.

The jewellery is nice.

For some of the outfits, some of the detailing is great but the overall look is sometimes off, somehow, but they're having fun with it and that's great.

Lewis Hamilton's ivory ensemble is superb, beautiful tailoring. I like the jewelled accents adding a little sparkle, but subtly. Who is the designer?
