Well, at least she's wearing underwear. I’m still recovering from Halle Berry’s outfit choice!
Her costume is a men’s tie (or at least that’s my interpretation). So it’s the loop of the tie that’s over her head.
I'm with you. I thought it was very ritualistic and actually laughed out loud at some of the costumes all the while fearing that I would be experiencing nightmares for doing so.
I'm surprised Sarah Jessica Parker wasn't there, I was looking forward to seeing what she would wear for this years theme.
It’s a good idea with the tie, but poorly executed IMO. For some reason she reminds me more of a shepherd’s crook
Thank you for the clarification. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out her dress. I just didn't understand. Her body and the dress itself are amazing, but that loop is a big mistake. No.....It's just not visually pleasing.

Joey King was my favorite of the night! Proof that a male-tailoring theme does not mean the women could not pull it off. She had an amazing team who understood the assignment and Joey clearly had a great time with her look judging from her ig posts and videos posted of her arrival.
interesting she goes from the over-exposure at the met gala to this covered up look arriving at Cannes...looks like something an overweight woman would wear
