They find out because the serial number is register to you as the original owner. Regardless if you sold it for retail or not. They will think you’re a reseller because you sold it right away.

I agree, and I’m glad they allegedly do this. I think the pieces should go to clients who actually want it, want it gift it to their daughters, etc.

I prefer when the holiday pendant isn't a stone that I can get in a regular collection. They've done a great job of keeping it unique since 2021. I really hope it's something that they don't make a full collection with.
